WWDC 2020- How to Get iOS 14 on Your iPhone?.
This year, Apple kicked off the latest software for Apple devices such as iOS 14, iPadOS 14, macOS 11, and more. All of these pre-release versions of the software are available for developers to install and start building their apps before final release. I’ve been using the iOS 14 Developer Beta since day one, and if you’re thinking of getting it yourself, here’s how.
How do you get iOS 14?
To install iOS 14 right now, you need a developer account. The developer program costs $ 99 per year and will take at least 48 hours to activate. However, Apple will also release a public beta in July and I will update the steps for that as well. The public beta is free for everyone.
Which devices support iOS14
All iPhones released after iPhone 6s will receive the latest iOS14. The list also includes the iPhone SE (1st and 2nd generation) and the 7th generation iPod Touch.
Get an Apple Developer Account
To register a developer account, go to developer.apple.com and click Distribute. You can do this from your computer or smartphone, but for this article, I’ll be using a computer. Click the “Register” button to continue.
You will be prompted to sign in with your Apple account, enter your Apple ID credentials, and proceed to complete the registration form.
They charge you $ 99 and activate your account within 48 hours. Once you receive a confirmation email, we are ready to install iOS 14.
Install iOS 14 on your iPhone
Disclaimer: The iOS 14 Developer Beta is an early version of the software with many bugs. I would recommend using a second iPhone and backing up your data to iCloud.
Now that you’re an Apple developer, you can easily install the iOS 14 developer beta from Apple’s website. Just visit developer.apple.com, go to Discover. You will have to use Safari because Google Chrome is not working. Select iOS to continue.
Click the Download button, you will be prompted to download the configuration file. Tap Allow file to be installed.
Go to Settings on your iPhone General Profile Install. After that, just go to the Software Update section and update your iOS to iOS 14. Since the download is about 5GB, it will take some time and will restart several times. Enjoy iOS 14.
Last words
It was a quick way to get iOS 14 installed on your iPhone. I agree to pay $ 99, it just doesn’t make a lot of sense for early access, but if you can’t wait until July then this is your only option to get iOS 14. Anyway, let me know if you have any doubts or have any doubts. any problems while installing iOS 14 on your iPhone.
