Use Custom DNS Servers on Cellular in iOS with DNS Override.
When you enter the name of a website into the address bar of your browser, it contacts a DNS or Domain Name System server, which translates the friendly web URL into an IP address that points to a specific server.
Your service provider usually runs its own DNS server and your router will use that by default. However, you can configure this router or individual devices to use the DNS of your choice. There are many reasons for this, but the bottom line is that a good DNS server is:

- Provide the best privacy and security.
- Remove any censorship that may be present in your current DNS.

That’s okay, but when it comes to iOS devices, Apple has made a rather strange decision. While you are free to choose DNS for whatever Wi-Fi network you connect to, you cannot configure the DNS of your mobile network at all. Fortunately, a keen-eyed app developer has found a cheap solution to this problem.

This is the DNS Override application. Yes, you need to pay a small fee through an in-app purchase to get this feature, but it’s worth it.
To get the DNS override, download it from the app store.

After downloading the app and paying the internal DNS switching fee, select the DNS of your choice. Here we select Google’s public DNS service, which is usually much faster than the typical default DNS server. [

After confirming your DNS selection, you will be prompted to install a dummy VPN profile on your device. Just click on “Install VPN Profile”.

Don’t worry, you won’t actually create a real VPN connection and you should never try to connect to this bogus VPN. This is how DNS Override tricks iOS into allowing you to change the DNS settings for your cellular connection.
iOS will prompt you to approve the creation of the profile. Just click “Allow” to continue.
