If you are having problems with any Office program like Word, Excel, or Outlook, you can always perform a repair that will try to fix any issues that might be causing the program to load incorrectly or other problems.
MS Office repair
To repair Office, you first need to open Control Panel and then click Programs and Features.
Select the version of Office that you have installed, and then click the Change button.
Then select the “Restore” radio button and click “Next”. This will start the recovery process.

In Office 2016, the first screen that appears when you click the Change button is the Repair Office dialog box. Here you have the opportunity to try a quick repair or an online repair. The online repair is convenient because it will download all the latest fixes to fix the problem.
It will take some time to recover, and when done, you will see a message stating that your Office 2013 setup is complete. Then you need to restart your computer to complete the repair.
Repair is a great Office tool that I have used in many previous versions of Office to fix things like changing the Normal.dot template in Word, Outlook PST, email issues, etc. If Office is running slowly or other issues, try repairing and hopefully solves your problem. Enjoy!
