A USB flash drive can save you all the headaches associated with a broken PC. We have already talked about creating a bootable USB flash drive for PC recovery, and we also strongly recommend that you have another USB flash drive with portable versions of PC recovery programs.
Below are just a few of the programs you should add to your PC’s recovery toolbox if your friends and family come to you next time for help.
Revo Uninstaller
As the name suggests, Revo Uninstaller removes programs from your computer. This portable tool lets you say goodbye to malware and malware.
Revo is easy to use. Download the portable version from the Revo website. Three versions are available: Free, Pro (for single computers, not portable) and Pro Portable (unlimited computers, suitable for USB sticks). The free version has the most basic features and should be sufficient for most users.
After installation, simply open Revo Uninstaller and select suspicious programs. Once selected, press the uninstall button and navigate to other apps that you think are causing problems.
Avira AntiVir Rescue System
Avira AntiVir Rescue System can repair damaged computers and then rescue data or scan your computer for viruses. Users can simply download the Avira Rescue System and save it to a USB stick.

The developers have promised that even inexperienced users will not have problems using the product. This requires users to have at least 1GB of RAM, a 700MHz processor, and a dedicated USB drive.
Plug in USB and restart your computer. If Avira does not start from a USB stick, you need to change the boot priority in the BIOS settings.
Speccy Portable
Speccy Portable allows users to see the specifications of their computer. Items shown range from the most basic, such as the operating system, CPU and RAM, to the connected peripherals.
Although the tool only displays PC specifications and nothing else, it is especially useful in situations where you need very specific information during diagnostics. Very easy to use.
Wireless Monitor
There is a small chance that the problems with your computer are caused by strangers connecting to your network. Downloading Wireless Network Watcher helps you keep track of IP and MAC addresses.
This application does not require installation. Just run the program when needed. If you see someone else’s devices, you can change your Wi-Fi password. We recommend using WPA2-PSK encryption. Also disable WPS to prevent others from exploiting some of the vulnerabilities in your network.
Hiren’s BootCD
Hiren’s BootCD, arguably the most popular program in any USB repair kit, repairs computers from a portable device such as a CD or USB stick. Bootable CD is a collection of various free and legal software designed to solve various computer problems.
Users will have to configure their USB drive to recognize the ISO file. However, Hiren’s BootCD official website has a simple guide on how to do this. We strongly recommend that you use USB 3.0 to create a bootable USB.
To unfamiliar users, the bootable CD will look like a regular Windows installation when it is up and running. But if you take a look at the programs, it becomes clear that you now have access to several diagnostic programs, data recovery tools, and other recovery applications.
There are even portable versions of web browsers in case you need to connect to the Internet. Recently released update for Windows 10 users.
