While there is no official way to download Instagram videos, there are apps and online tools that can do this easily. In this article, I’ve covered some of the best ways to download Instagram videos on PC, Android, or iOS. They work great with any public video you want to download. So let’s get started.

IN method – Chrome extension
If you are using Insta on PC like me. The Chrome extension is the easiest way to download videos and doesn’t require a single click after installing the extension. We are going to use an extension called Downloader for Instagram. After you download the extension, you will see the download icon in the upper right corner of the Chrome window. Now, just switch to your Instagram profile or the feed of the video you want to download. You will notice a small download icon at the top of each video post, just click on it and your video will be downloaded in no time. It’s simple, right?

The second method – download the video online
If you don’t want to download the extension, an alternative way is to use the website. You can simply copy and paste the video url to any online video downloader site like Download Instagram Videos. Copying a specific link to a post is a bit of work. First, you need to open the profile page of the user who uploaded the video, and then right-click the video and select “copy video url”. Now open the Instagram video download website, paste the link and click “Download Instagram videoâ€. The website will take a few seconds and will redirect you to the download page, from where you can get the mp4 video file.

Method 3 – Download Instagram Videos on Android
While the above methods are great for PCs, most users still rely on mobile apps to use Instagram. Luckily, we have tons of apps that make it easy to download Instagram videos. I am using Fast Save for Instagram. The app is free and makes it easy to download videos with a few simple steps. The only drawback of this app is that it contains pop-up ads from time to time. However, since we will not always download videos all the time, this can be ignored.
You can view the videos in the “My Saves” section, and also view them in the app as stories at the top.
Then enable FastSave service on home page, open Instagram. Switch to the video you want to download and click on the three vertical dots icon at the top of the post. Select Share To and click FastSave in the app’s Share menu. After this step, you will be prompted with a processing window, click “Finish” when everything is over. Then click “Saved Videos” to view the downloaded file.

Method 4 – Download Instagram Videos to iPhone
Unlike Android, there is no good Instagram Video Downloader app for iOS. Most of the apps I’ve found are paid and require your Instagram credentials to run. However, this one allows you to do this by simply copying the link. We are going to use an application called Instdown. Let’s see how it works.

Open Instagram and scroll to the video post. Click on the three horizontal icons and click “Copy Link”. This will copy the link to your clipboard. Now, when you open the application, the link will be automatically copied. Now click the download button to the right of the address bar. The application will prompt you to provide access to the photos. Select Allow access to all photos and you’re done. You can view the video in your gallery. Please note that this does not allow you to download private videos.

If you are on Instagram, I would suggest using the Chrome extension. This is the easiest way as all you have to do is click on the icon in the message. On the other hand, if you are using an Android or iOS device, the apps I have suggested will allow you to easily download videos without logging in. I hope these methods seem simple to you. You should also take care not to re-upload other people’s videos from your account unless you have explicit permission from them.
