This prompt appears right below the address bar in Chrome, above the bookmarks bar (if enabled). Sometimes it pops up completely by accident and without a prompt – usually in this case it is better to close the prompt or block them. How to prevent a website from sending Chrome notifications
You may find yourself in a situation where you have turned on notifications for a website that turned out to be quite annoying. Instead of going to a website and relying on the fact that they have a built-in way to turn off their notifications, you can go straight to Google Chrome settings to control this.
The first step is to access the Google Chrome settings by going into the settings menu.
Scroll down the page and click Advanced. The first table you should see is called Privacy and Security.
In this table, click the Site Settings row. You will be taken to a page with a similar table, where you will find and click “Notifications”.
This is a variant of the fifth row from the top.
On the next page, you will have a list of all domains for which you have allowed or blocked notifications. To block notifications from a website where you previously allowed them, click on the hamburger menu icon and select “Blockâ€. You can do the same for blocked notifications that you want to allow by choosing Allow instead.
To the left of the hamburger menu icon for each blocked and allowed domain will be an icon with an arrow pointing to the right. By clicking on it, you can delete data from this website, reset all permissions completely, or reset every single permission. These permissions include settings for your location, camera, microphone, sound, and Flash resolution in Chrome.
