Instagram has released full-featured mobile web sharing to attract more users, which basically means you can now open Instagram from your mobile browser, as well as download images from it. Yes, it was not possible before.
Why are you uploading photos to Instagram from computer?
Maybe you don’t have a smartphone. But for most of us, this is an inconvenience when transferring photos from a DSLR to a smartphone. Many advanced users take pictures from a DSLR, which they have to edit on a computer. And then sent them to my smartphone by email or something else.
But luckily, you can now upload images to Instagram from your computer (PC / macOS / Linux or whatever) without using any third-party software. 1. In Chrome, open an incognito window and choose View Developer Developer Tools. A sidebar will appear with a bunch of code.
2. At the top of the sidebar to the left of Elements, find an icon that looks like a tablet and a phone. Click on it.
3. Now go to Instagram.com, login and click the camera button at the bottom of the screen to upload a photo from your desktop. If it doesn’t work on the first try, refresh the page and then you should.
4. You can crop, add filters, caption and whatever you can do in the Instagram mobile app.

If you like to do this more often then install the user agent switcher extension from the Chrome store. And then switch to Android / iPhone from options

Go to Safari Preferences Advanced. Check the box at the very bottom that says “Show Develop menu in menu bar.”
Now open a private browsing window. Go to Development User Agent Safari – iOS 10 – iPhone. Go to Instagram.com, login and click the camera button at the bottom of the screen to upload a photo from your desktop.
