In this section, you will see that in the Deliver Every section, you can configure the frequency with which you want to automatically order the same product.
As you accumulate items you are subscribed to, you can find this list on your Amazon account. To do this, select the Account drop-down list and select Subscribe and Save Items.
The “Subscribe and Save” page opens, listing all the items you are subscribed to. Scroll down to find out exactly when the next order will be placed and what items will be shipped this month.
This is how Amazon Subscribe & Save works in a nutshell. You subscribe to products and set up an order and delivery schedule.
However, there is much more to this program. Knowing how to set your order time correctly can save you a lot of money. In this article, you will learn how to use Amazon Subscribe & Save and show you some methods to help you maximize your savings.
How to Subscribe to New Products
Subscribing to new Amazon products is very easy. Just search for whatever product you would normally buy from the grocery store. For most of the products in this category, a subscription and save feature is available.
You can easily see this by browsing the products. Below each product in the list, you will see a mention of a potential “Sign up and Save†discount (more on how the discount works later).
Select any of these products to see more details. If this is what you want to buy every month, you will see a “subscribe and save†option on the right menu. You will need to select the option to enable “Subscribe and Save” to see any additional settings.
These settings include:
- Order Quantity
- Product Order Frequency
- Install Now button.
Once you have clicked on the “Configure Now” button, you will have a final return option before you subscribe to this product.
Just check all the settings (especially the frequency of orders and the date of arrival). If everything looks the way you want, just select Confirm Subscription and your product subscription will become active.
How to Save More with Subscribe and Save
While Amazon’s sign up and save feature is certainly handy, you can also save a lot by using this feature wisely.
If you review your subscription and shipping list in your account settings, you will see that different products have different savings levels on different days.
The reason for this is when you subscribed and what kind of savings were available for that item, depending on how many other items you subscribed to.
You can see this on the item details page where you can activate your subscription.
Current savings are highlighted in the Subscribe and Save section. Below that, you’ll see how much more you can save on this item if you add additional items with the same delivery date to your subscription.
The potential savings for this item may differ from other items, but in general, each item will receive an even greater discount if you order more items for any delivery.
Here are some tips to help you maximize your savings with Amazon Subscribe & Save:
- Organize subscription blocks based on reorder dates (monthly, bi-monthly, etc.).
- Either way, subscribe to as many items as you often buy at the grocery store to maximize your savings.
- Look for the products with the greatest potential savings with the most subscribed items.
Be very careful when choosing your order frequency. You don’t want to order a three-month supply of something every month, or you end up with excess inventory that you don’t need.
A great way to do this is to browse through your pantry for all the items you can order on Amazon. Then take a close look at the volume of the same product you can buy on Amazon and how long it will last you. Make sure to set the frequency of impressions as accurately as possible.
You can see how successful you are on each delivery date because those dates will be highlighted as “Maximum Savings Unlocked”.
The bottom line is that the more items you sign up with each delivery frequency, the greater your overall savings will be.
