How to Watch Peacock TV Outside US on Android TV.
NBC’s new streaming app – Peacock, launched last week in the US, offers thousands of hours of free movies and TV shows. And while there are workarounds to bypass these geographic restrictions on Android, iOS, and the web, it’s not that simple for Android TV – even with a VPN. But don’t worry, we’ve found a workaround.
Watch PeacockTV Outside US on Android TV
The common way to watch any geo-restricted streaming app on Android TV involves downloading an unpublished APK and then streaming over a VPN. However, in our testing, the Peacock TV app was able to determine our location from the Play Store, even with the VPN running. An easy way to work around this problem is to start Peacock TV broadcast from your computer’s browser. You don’t even need to install any app on Android TV. Here’s how.
Cast to TV
Before we start, make sure your Android TV has Chromecast built-in. Almost all Android TV supports. Plus, you’ll need a decent Wi-Fi network to stream Peacock TV from your computer or smartphone to Android TV. Finally, you need a computer or smartphone with the latest version of the Chrome browser installed.
Once you’ve met all the requirements, go to your computer and install a good VPN if you don’t already have one. In my case, I am using PureVPN again on my Windows PC. Since Peacock TV is only available in the United States, we will have to connect to a server in the United States.
Then go to your Google Chrome browser, open the Peacock TV website and sign in. If you have not registered yet, click the “Register to start watching†button and follow the formalities. Peacock TV is free and ad-supported. Hence, you do not need a credit card to register.
Once you enter the Peacock TV interface, play the movie or TV show you’d like to see on the big screen. Once the show starts, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the Google Chrome browser. In the advanced menu, click Broadcast. Make sure your computer and Chromecast are on the same Wi-Fi network.
After you click “Broadcastâ€, Google Chrome will search for devices to broadcast on your Wi-Fi network. In our case, we have to search for Android TV.
And it’s all. You will have Google Chrome streaming video to your Android TV. If the video quality is not clear, pause the video playback and wait for a while for the connection to become stable. When your tab is displayed on the TV screen, you will see “” on the right side of the browser tab.
By default, Google Chrome only transfers the streaming media tab to your Android TV. Therefore, you can continue working with other tabs on the screen. The only caveat is that you will need to keep your laptop running while streaming to Android TV. Windows will disable video playback if you lock your laptop.
When you’re done, click on the same Cast option and click on the name of the casting device to stop casting.

Instead of that
You can also watch Peacock TV on your Android TV web browser. Having said that, things are not so simple. Peacock TV will not work in Puffin TV browser configured for Android TV.
- So, first of all, you will have to download the unpublished APK of Chrome Android on Android TV.
- Then download the VPN app to your TV and connect to a server in the US.
- Open the Peacock TV website in your browser.
- Click on the three dots in the upper right corner of the browser and select “Desktop Site”. The Peacock TV Mobile website does not support browser streaming.
