Add Text to Speech on TikTok
It’s easy to add text to speech to a video on the TikTok app for Android, iPhone, and iPad.
Record your video as usual. Before you click Next at the bottom, click Text. It’s at the bottom on mobile phones and at the top right on tablets.Enter your text in the text field.Immediately tap the text-to-speech icon to the left of Font Styles and select “Done” at the top. If you’ve already clicked Done, tap the text box and select Text-to-Speech from the pop-up menu to continue.
To change your voice, tap the text box and select “Change Voice” from the pop-up menu. Select the text-to-speech voice you want to use at the bottom of the screen and click Done.
Click “Next” to proceed to the next step and publish your video or save it as a draft.
In the same way, you can add text-to-speech to a draft video you have saved.
Set a Duration to Show the Text Box
Text-to-speech for your video is spoken at the beginning of the clip. However, the text field remains. Optionally, you can set the length of time the text box is displayed.
Tap the text box and choose Set Duration from the pop-up menu.Use the slider at the bottom to adjust how long the text is displayed. You’ll likely drag from right to left to shorten the time after the comment has played.If necessary, click the play button to see a preview and change the duration if necessary.Click the checkmark to apply the change. li>
Edit the Text
To edit the entered text, tap the text box and select Edit from the pop-up menu. Make changes or enter new text and select Done. Spoken text updates automatically.
Remove Text to Speech on TikTok
If you’ve applied text-to-speech to your video as described above and change your mind, you can delete it before posting the video.
To disable text-to-speech, do one of the following:
select the text box, select Edit, and tap the text-to-speech icon to uncheck it.Click the text box and select ” Change voice. . Then select “No” for the voice.
