How to Use Sleep as Android With Galaxy Watch.how to track sleep on galaxy watch.
Your Samsung Galaxy Watch has a pretty good sleep tracking feature. However, when I spend some time in bed watching movies or reading my Kindle, the built-in sleep tracker cannot tell the difference from real sleep. And the fact that you can’t edit your sleep times makes it even worse.

Luckily, you can use third-party sleep tracking apps like the popular “Sleep as Android†app with your Galaxy Watch. Not only will this help distinguish between flaccid lying in bed and actual sleep, but it will also give you an in-depth analysis of your sleep pattern, REM cycle, smart alarm, and more. which means every time you go to bed you will have to manually turn on sleep tracking.
First you need to install the “Sleep like Android” application on your watch and smartphone.
Let’s start first with the Galaxy Watch. On your Galaxy watch, go to Galaxy App Store Apps Health & Fitness and download the Sleep Like Android app. Alternatively, you can click on this link to download it directly to your Samsung phone.
It is then advised to add a quick shortcut to access the Sleep as Android app. To do this, rotate the bezel to the right until you see the “application launch screen”. Press and hold the screen to bring up the edit option, touch the Edit screen on the screen, then a new screen will appear with an Add plus icon inside a circle. Click on any available Add icon and it will open the list of apps installed on your watch, rotate the bezel right and left to scroll through the list of apps until you find Sleep as Android and then click on it to add it as a shortcut …
After that, you need to download the Sleep as Android app to your Android smartphone from the Google Play store. It is free and contains a minimum of banner ads.

Sleep as Android can either work as standalone sleep tracking or integrate with wearable devices such as Fitbit, Mi Band, Amazefit and of course the Galaxy Watch and Galaxy fit. But you need to configure them once.
To enable tracking sensor integration, go to Sleep Like Android – Settings – Wearables – Galaxy Gear / Galaxy Watch. You will be prompted to download and install a small plugin from the Internet. Do this.
To make sure you have set up the connection correctly, you can click on the option that says check the sensor. If you’ve done everything right, you’ll see a pop-up on your Galaxy watch asking you to start tracking. That’s all, you’re done.
To start sleep tracking, navigate to the Sleep Like Android shortcut and tap on it. This will launch sleep mode as an Android app on your smartphone (even if it is locked) and automatically start tracking. You will have to do this manually every time before bed. On the sunny side, however, you can set up a smart sleep alarm as an Android app that will naturally wake you up with a light motion of your hand when you sleep.
However, there are a couple of problems that I ran into. For example, Sleep as Android consumes a lot of battery power. Before using sleep tracking, my Galaxy watch lasted 2-3 days on a full charge, but with Sleep as Android, the battery lasted a day at best. Also, sometimes a smart alarm is not that accurate. For example, today I woke up 30 minutes before the smart alarm was scheduled and Sleep as Android was unable to detect it.
In any case, I will use the application for a few more days before reaching any conclusion and will update the article accordingly. Tell me about your experience with Sleep as Android on your Galaxy watch in the comments.
