Another feature built into Google Photos is the ability to search by time. By simply entering the date, you will receive the photo results for that date. If you know the total time the photo was taken, but don’t know the specific date, you can search by month or even by season. For example, typing May 2018 will return the results of all photos taken during May 2018
Google also has date sorting, which lets you scroll through the timeline to find photos. You can quickly see when your photos were uploaded on the left. Finally, you can also search by file type. If you regularly download files through your computer, this can be a useful way to sort by different file types such as .png, .gif, and .jpeg.
