How to Turn Off Amber Alerts On iPhone.

You know it immediately when you hear it; this loud alarm goes off whenever the authorities issue a yellow warning in your area. These are warnings issued by local authorities to inform the public about child abductions.

AMBER alert stands for Missing Persons: Emergency Response Broadcast and is a program that began in 1996. You can turn off these alerts in the Settings app on your iPhone.

How to Turn Off Amber Alerts

To turn off amber notifications on iPhone, follow the instructions below:

Open the Settings app.

Go to Notifications> Government Alerts> Public Safety Alerts.

Click on the green slider to gray out and turn it off.

Exposure Notifications

However, this feature is disabled by default. You must download the app for your region if your region supports this feature.
