How to Transfer Playlist from Spotify to Apple Music? (or any other Music Service).
With the growing popularity of music streaming services, I constantly switch to find what works best for me. I currently use YouTube when I work, Spotify when traveling, and Apple Music when I’m at home. You could say that my music is everywhere. To figure it out, I wanted to transfer all my songs to Apple Music because I really like the app interface and synced lyrics. Well, doing it manually would be impractical, so I found two different ways to transfer playlists to Apple Music. Let’s start.
How to Transfer Playlist from Spotify to Apple Music
Both of these tools work the same way. They extract information about a song from one music service and add the song to the desired music service. I have listed two methods, so even if one of them stops working, you still have an alternative.
1. SongShift
SongShift is an iOS app that allows you to add songs to your Apple Music account from other music services like Pandora, Napster, YouTube, Apple Music, Deezer, LastFM, Tidal, etc. The app does everything automatically, and you you just need to connect the app to your music services. Start by installing the SongShift app on your iPhone.
Open the app and click the “Add” button at the bottom, you will be prompted to set up a source, click “Set up a source” to continue.

Select a music service from the list and allow SongShift to access your playlists. I chose Spotify, but you can choose any music service you like.
After you have selected your source music service, select the destination where you want to add songs. I wanted to copy my Spotify songs to Apple Music.
Now, start transferring by selecting the playlist or songs you want to copy to Apple Music. Not only playlists, you can rip based on albums or individual songs. Depending on the number of songs in your playlist, it may take some time for the transfer to complete.
After the transfer is complete, you can see which songs have been successfully transferred. You can even undo the entire process with one click.

Using SongShift makes a lot of sense and saves you hours if you want to transfer your entire playlist to another music service. The application is free, does its job as intended, but has one function, which is blocked for paid access. It doesn’t create a separate playlist, it just adds songs to the Apple Music library. I don’t mind, but if you want to copy playlists as is, you can unlock this feature for $ 4.99.
2. Set my music
Tune my music is a free online tool that lets you stream music from one music service to another. It works with multiple services like Apple Music, Amazon Music, Spotify, Soundcloud, Google Play Music, Deezer, Tidal, etc. The best part of this tool is that you can transfer music between any of the these services.
I’ll demonstrate by transferring my YouTube playlist to Apple Music, but if you choose to transfer it from any other music service, it will still work the same way. Start by opening a web page on your computer and click Get Started.
You will be prompted to select a source, click on the service that has your playlists. I chose YouTube. You will then be prompted to login and connect the service to tunemymusic to read the song information.

Once shared, you can see all the playlists, select the playlist you want to transfer, and click Next.
Now select the destination service to which the songs will be added. In my case, I wanted to add my YouTube playlist to Apple Music, so I chose Apple Music. You will be prompted to login and connect Apple Music to tunemymusic. Continue entering your credentials.
After your end account is authenticated, it will show you a list of all the songs that will be added to Apple Music. Click the Start Moving My Music button to start transferring.
Depending on the number of songs in your playlist, it may take a few minutes for the transfer to complete.
After the transfer is complete, you will be able to see which songs have been added and which are missing from Apple Music. This can happen if the song title is different and you can add the song later.
Unlike SongShift, Tune My Music does not block this feature and copies your playlists as is, and you can open the Apple Music app on your iPhone and find all songs in the newly created playlist with the same name as on YouTube. Carefully.
