How To Tell If Someone Blocked Your Number on iPhone. How to tell if someone blocked your number from texting.
You are trying to call someone, but your call does not go through or he does not answer.
To make matters worse, you send messages to them, but you are not sure if they will receive messages because there is no response.
This can happen for several reasons:
Problems with their SIM card. The phone battery has run out. 1- They have no signal. 2 – They lost their phone. 3 -They turned on airplane mode or do not disturb mode by mistake. They’ve blocked your number.
If you suspect that this person has blocked your number, we’ll show you different options that you can try on your iPhone to make sure it’s true.
How to Tell If Someone Blocked Your Number on iPhone
When someone blocks your number, they will no longer receive calls and text messages from you.
You will not receive any official alerts or notifications if they block your number. But if you call and he rings once or does not ring and goes straight to voicemail, you may have been blocked.
There is no easy process to determine if someone has blocked you. However, you can try several different ways to check if you are blocked.
Call from another number and see if they pick up the phone. If you’re short on air time, learn how to use Wi-Fi to make calls on your cell phone. If you call and receive an automatic “customer unavailable†message or similar response within a few days, it could mean that their phone is turned off or in Do Not Disturb mode. Send the person a message via SMS / MMS. If you’re sending text and it doesn’t show a read or delivery receipt, you’ll see something other than a blank space below the text. In iMessage, the Delivered icon will no longer appear below your message. This may mean that you have been blocked, especially if several days have passed since the message was sent. Start a conference call and see if you can connect. Hide Caller ID
If you prefer not to use another line, you can enter * 67 followed by the person’s phone number to hide your number. If your phone usually rings more than a few times, it almost certainly means that they’ve blocked your number without a mask.
Alternatively, you can hide your Caller ID and call the person who blocked your number. Your iPhone has a hidden caller ID feature that masks your number so that another person’s phone can’t find it.
Tap Settings> Phone.
Then click on Show My Caller ID.
Toggle the Show Caller ID option to disable it.
Try calling the person who blocked your number and see if they pick up the phone.
Note. If this feature doesn’t work, your carrier probably turned it off, in which case you can try calling from a different iPhone.
Send a chat message
If you still can’t get through to the other person, try sending a text message or chatting through messaging apps such as WhatsApp.
Check if you can call or text them on WhatsApp. If they don’t answer your call, they are probably offline or have blocked you.
To make sure they’ve blocked your WhatsApp number, send a text message and see if it gets through. If you see two blue check marks or two gray check marks, then you are still connected. If it’s just one check that lasts a few days, it’s a sign that you’ve probably been blocked.
You can also try adding the person to the WhatsApp group and see if you can add that person. If you are unable to add them and you receive the error “Failed to add contact”, it means that they have blocked you.
Check the number of calls before sending voicemail
If you call someone and hear the usual number of rings before your call is sent to voicemail, don’t worry – you’re still connected.
Sometimes you can hear an unusual ring pattern. This can mean several things: the person’s phone is off, they are on another phone, or all calls are routed to voicemail.
However, if you only hear one ring before your call is forwarded to voicemail and the pattern persists, you were probably blocked.
It Could Be Something Else
There may be a simple reason why your calls or text messages are not received in most cases. Don’t rush to the conclusion that they blocked you. They may have network problems or they may not have paid the bill on time. Or they might have turned on Airplane Mode or Do Not Disturb Mode.
Before jumping to conclusions, it is helpful to take some time for this person. If you meet often, you can ask them about it. You can also try contacting a family member or mutual friend.
