How to Sign Out of Primary Account on Chromebook.
Chromebooks are easy to use and fast, but there are a few simple things that a Chromebook might not understand. One of the obvious ones is to sign out of your primary account on your Chromebook. While you can log in with any number of accounts, you can easily log out of them by selecting your profile name on the lock screen and clicking delete that user.
However, there is no easy way to delete the first Google account that is used to sign in to the Chromebook, also known as the primary or owner account. In fact, you can’t even delete the primary account from the Chromebook itself. Let’s take a look at how to delete your primary account without resetting your Chromebook to factory settings.
Sign out of the primary account on your Chromebook
Google made it difficult to delete the account because it wanted to say that this account is more important and that the user owns this Chromebook. In case they want to sell it, they can just wash the Chromebook. But it deletes all users and their local data.
So if you only want to delete your primary account and still want to access other accounts and their data, you can do so by logging into your primary Google account from some other device other than Chromebook, open the web browser and go to google search. click your profile picture and click “Manage Google Account”. Or you can click this link to directly open a Google account.
Now on the security tab, scroll down to find the section called “Your Devices”, click on “Manage Devices” below it.
Now select the Chromebook you want to sign out of.
Now click on the exit token and click on the exit again in the pop-up window.
As soon as you log out, it will log out of the Chrome browser on the Chromebook and show a login error.
Click on it and it will automatically log out of your Chromebook. However, even though all of your data has been removed from the Chromebook, it still shows your account and login error statistics. Your previous passcode, like a PIN, no longer works and you need to sign in to your Google account again for it to work.

While it doesn’t delete your account entirely, it’s the best you can get, since you don’t just delete your account, you also delete data and provide storage space for other accounts. And the weirdest thing is, if you try to complete the whole process on the same Chromebook, it won’t work. So make sure you are using a different device and the same Google account.
