How to Share your Laptop Screen to Another Laptop.
Windows 10 was released three years ago and has so many features that users are still discovering today. It has so many hidden features that discovering them makes everyday use of Windows 10 much more rewarding. Built-in hotspot, one-touch screen capture and one that I recently discovered. Project your screen to another Windows 10 computer using Miracast Standard.
This is a very useful feature if you are like me who mixes work on different computers and then does not understand where I saved my presentations. I can just project another computer onto my screen and control that computer to complete my work and then save it to the cloud. This feature can be used if you do not have an additional monitor but have a spare laptop running Windows 10.
You can also use Teamviewer to mirror the screen, but with with this method you can share your laptop screen with another laptop and use it as an extended display. Also, since this is a built-in Windows feature, it has a much faster speed than Team Viewer.
It can display your computer screen on a computer or TV. Windows supports Miracast (or using an Intel Compute Card) and use it as a second screen on a Windows 10 computer or tablet. And t it doesn’t just work as mirror, but also allows you to control the projected computer.
Before we start, make sure you have two Windows 10 computers that support Miracast. To check if your computers meet the requirements, click “Start” and type “Project on this computer”. If you see an option in the Settings menu, it means it will work for your system. Earlier versions of Windows 8.1 only support mirroring. There are applications that can use this feature if you don’t have Windows 10. You can install Airserver Universal for Windows and use it to broadcast or mirror your computer screen, although this is paid software. We’ve got this little tutorial on how to share your laptop screen with another laptop running Windows 10.

Make sure you have at least two Windows 10 computers and they are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
Now grab the computer you want to project the computer screen to. Let’s call it Computer Blue. The computer whose screen will be projected will be called Computer Orange.
First computer
Click the blue “Start” button and type “project to this computer”, you will see an icon under the settings. Click the icon and a window will open.
Now we will set the computer to blue to get projections from other computers.
There are several dialog boxes in which we will select the appropriate parameters and prepare the device.
Select “Available everywhere”.
Now let’s move on to the permissions.
In the following drop-down list, you can specify when the computer should request permission to project. We chose “every timeâ€, but you can also choose “only the first time†if you intend to use this feature frequently.
Next comes the security PIN. It can be turned off if you only use it at home or in the office, but this is recommended so it is best to leave it on.
The first computer is ready, and the second computer can broadcast the screen to this computer.
Now go to the second computer
Now go to Computer Orange and click on the Action Center icon in the lower right corner of the taskbar. It is placed between the button on the desktop and the clock.
Click the icon and the action center will appear on the right and display several icons. find the project icon. It lists all the devices onto which the image can be projected.
You will see “Computer name”, click the icon and connect. You may be prompted for a PIN.
Enter your PIN and click OK.
Check “Allow input from this device”, otherwise you will not be able to control your screen. It would be just by design.
If you did everything correctly, Computer Blue should now display the Computer Orange screen and you can also control it with your mouse.
This tutorial showed you how to mirror your screen on a computer, but if you want to expand instead of mirroring, you can do that too. Press WIN + P, select Extend, and that’s it. Now your computer screen is an extended computer screen, pretty good, right? What’s even better is that you don’t even have to worry about different screen sizes, it automatically adjusts to your device’s screen resolution.
How to turn it off?
The second display is active, and if you want to turn it off, just press WIN + P, select “connect to wireless display” and disconnect the connected device.
