How to Share HQ Images on WhatsApp Without Any Compression

How to Share HQ Images on WhatsApp Without Any Compression.

Until now, attachment of files in WhatsApp has been limited to some standard files like photos, videos, PDFs, Word documents, etc. And if you attach images directly, WhatsApp will compress them before sending them to the recipient. But guess what, after a recent WhatsApp update, users can now send files of any format up to 100MB in size (Gmail has a 25MB limit), and there is no image compression either.

This problem

Image details show that the file is 2.39 MB in size and when posted to WhatsApp it is compressed and the size is reduced to 41 KB.

This is usually not a big problem if you only view this image on WhatsApp; but if you want to print this image or use it for official purposes (which surprisingly many people do) then people will have to look for alternatives like Gmail or Telegram etc., especially Telegram, which still tops the exchange chart files as it supports files up to 1.5 GB in size.

Fortunately, after a recent update (version 2.17.254), you can post images to WhatsApp without compressing them. You can also submit any document, be it an APK file or a ZIP file. But what does this have to do with our goal?

Let’s find out:

1. Launch the Play Store and update WhatsApp to the latest version.

2. Now open the chat you want to send uncompressed images to, click the Attachments icon (the one that looks like a paper clip) and then click Document, a new menu will appear.

Here you can see the full size images uploaded, the size is 2.4 MB and the file type is JPEG. And best of all, you can even send multiple images using this feature by simply clicking on an image and selecting the rest.

Conclusion

With this update, WhatsApp just got a little better. Let us know how long you have been waiting for this in the comments below. The new update is currently rolling out globally, but if you’ve turned off auto-update in your Google Play settings, be sure to manually update the app.
