How to Run 2 Whatsapp in one Phone.
WhatsApp has become deeply integrated into our lives. People use it for both personal and professional use. For example, many local stores now accept orders via WhatsApp; people on buy / sell sites like olx openly share their number on WhatsApp.
But for people like me who like to keep their personal and professional lives separate, it makes sense to have two different WhatsApp accounts. I like it – one for work, the other for friends and family.
However, according to the WhatsApp FAQ; “You cannot use 2 WhatsApp accounts on one device”
So is there a workaround?
Well yes, there are several ways to run two separate WhatsApp accounts on the same device. And in this guide, we’ll see how best to do it. (video tutorial)
How does it work?
We will use the official WhatsApp app to launch one account and another third party – Disa – for another WhatsApp account. And since both applications have different package names, they will not conflict with each other.
There are now several other ways to run 2 Whatsapp on one phone. For example, when using a modified version of WhatsApp – OGWhatsApp and WhatsApp +, etc. But they are not legal, require root rights and can block your WhatsApp account forever.
On the other hand, Disa is 100% legal (available on Google Play); no ROOT access required; you don’t even need a dual SIM phone for that. And best of all, it works like a charm, meaning install it once and forget it forever.
However, the first setup can be a little confusing, so follow this step-by-step guide.
Launch 2 WhatsApp accounts on Android with Disa
1. First of all, you can only install Whatsapp on Disa when no other version of Whatsapp is running. This means that if you have WhatsApp installed on your phone, you will have to temporarily uninstall it.
So, start by backing up your WhatsApp conversation and then delete it.
2. Now go to the Play store and install Disa.
Basically, Disa is a messaging center that allows you to access all of your messaging services (like WhatsApp, Facebook, etc.) from one application.
3. After installing Disa on your phone, open it. Check the box I agree and accept their terms.
Then go to settings services add service select WhatsApp from the list. Wait for it to download the package and then restart Disa.
4. Now that the WhatsApp package is installed in Disa, you will set it up by verifying your mobile number.
Click on the top menu bar check the box “I understand” enter your mobile phone number. Leave the default MCC and MCN. Or follow the instructions below on how to get them. And then click Next.
5. Now you confirm your mobile phone number via SMS or phone call. Enter OTP and click “Confirm”. That’s it, you are now successfully using WhatsApp on Disa.
To change the displayed image and WhatsApp status to disa, go to Settings Profile Settings. And to send a new WhatsApp message, click on the plus sign at the bottom select a contact and write your message.
6. Now that we have WhatsApp running smoothly in Disa, we can reinstall the official WhatsApp app. So go to the play store and install it as usual. After the installation is complete, you will see the option to import your backups.
To test the setting, send a text from one WhatsApp account to another. If you did everything right, everything should work flawlessly.
