Rooting an Android device allows you to access many features that are not provided by default on your device. These features include root-only access to applications, custom operating system versions, and custom recovery tools for flashing various files.

It is entirely possible to root the Pixel XL, 2, 2XL, 3 and 3XL to use a number of rooted-only features on these devices. Below are the procedures for getting root on these phones.
