How To Reduce Background Noise in Voice Memo on iOS 14.
The Voice Memos app on your iPhone records audio using the built-in microphone. But sometimes background noise can enter your audio recording. Thankfully, iOS 14 adds a nifty feature that lets you reduce recording noise with the click of a button. Below is a sample of the sound recorded before and after turning on the new self-noise canceling. [if lt IE 9] <! [endif]
Reduce noise from voice notes on iPhone
You can always record audio notes on your iPhone, but this feature is exclusively available for iOS 14. If you are not using iOS 14, you can follow this guide to install it on your iPhone. With the latest software installed, open the Voice Recorder app on your iPhone or ask Siri to open it. and press the red record button to start recording, or you can also do it with your existing recordings. After you finish recording, press the red record button again to stop recording. Your entries are automatically saved with your current location as a title. Then open the menu by pressing the Meatballs menu button (…).

Click the “Edit Entry” button and in the upper right corner you will find a magic wand. Touch the magic wand and play back your recording, it should have significantly lower noise.
As shown in the video above, the magic wand really makes a big difference. However, you cannot share audio after removing noise. If this changes in the future and Apple adds this feature, I’ll update it here.
