Protecting your phone with a password is ingenious ! It is a way to protect personal and confidential data. If you have top-secret information on your device, you don’t want anyone to have access to it, do you?
But if your phone keeps asking you to enter your password every time , it can be a little annoying. What if you just want to use a calculator or view Notes within 5 minutes?
Well, the solution is simple: only password protect individual applications.

Download the app
First you need to install a third-party program. There are many applications that can do this, but we’ll only focus on one. I will mention others below.
Be aware that this guide is for Android users. But if you have an iOS device, you can benefit from it because the same idea applies.
First, here’s what you need to do:

Then click on INSTALL to download the app.
After installation is complete, click OPEN to start.
To use the app, click START.
Enter your password by creating a new password. You will then need to re-enter it for confirmation.
A small pop-up screen will appear. You will need to grant the app permission to display on top of other apps. To do this, click “Enable”.
You will then be taken to a screen that will allow you to manually grant permission. Make sure you enable it.
Then go back to AppLocker. Then select the specific apps you want to block from the list.
Just tap on the app and then tap LOCK.
If successful, a pop-up window will appear with a success message.
The application is running
For example, I decided to block Messenger on my Huawei p30 Pro.
Before, I could easily access it without any protection. Now I cannot open it until I enter the password I created.
How to reset your password
If you want to change your password, you can also do it easily with this app.
Here’s how. First go to Settings.
Select Set Password.
Then enter your current password.
Then click Change Password. Here you will need to enter your old password. Then enter and re-enter your New Password.
How to change from passcode to pattern
You can also choose a different password entry. If you want to do this following the pattern, go ahead.
Here’s how. Scroll down the current page (Set Password). Then select Pattern.
Then enter the pattern as the new password.
