Manage your work schedule from home with Google Assistant
Google recently introduced a new feature called Workdays in Google Assistant. Here you can customize your daily routine to remind you what hours you work, when to take a break, when to go for a walk, and definitely when to spend time with your family, etc. Keeping a strict schedule with you helps you focus at work and achieves its fulfillment.
To customize your daily routine, first open the Google Assistant settings, you can do this by opening the Google app More Settings and then Google Assistant.
Now on the Assistant tab, scroll down and click on Routines.
Here you can find an option called “Working Day”. click on it and enable the procedure by turning on the switch.
Now set weekdays so that Google Assistant will only remind you of your schedule on the days you specify. In addition, you can select the devices on which you want to receive reminders. You can install it on your phone as well as on any socket device at your desktop.
Scroll down and click on the “Edit” button, you can now delete or make changes to the already existing procedures.
Click on the “Add New Time” option to set the time for another procedure. Then you can view popular home control actions, get any information, change device settings, remind you of something, or say something like “wash your hands”, etc., or you can enter a command to set custom action. Google Assistant will take the action you specified.
For example, you can set up a reminder that you go for a walk at 7 AM and then turn off all the lights in your room by 7:10 AM so that everything is automated for your needs. Likewise, you set the meeting time and set your phone to silent. Once you’ve finished setting up your daily routine, click Save.
That’s all, Google Assistant will take actions on time and notify you about them on the devices you specify. If you haven’t added any nesting devices, you will be prompted to add. In any case, the routines work fine even on the phone, but you can only check the reminder after you click on the notification.
