How to Lower Brightness than the Default on iPhone.
Setting the screen brightness to ideal can be difficult, especially when you are using your phone at night. It is a fact that even the lowest brightness can get stuck in the dark. A workaround for this problem is to use a third party app to adjust the brightness, but in most cases they also cannot go below the default limit. But wait, you don’t have to go and test different apps on your iPhone, because this cute little trick will let you adjust the brightness easily. So, without further ado, here’s how to lower the brightness than the default iPhone.

Brightness is lower than default on iPhone
Log into Control Center on your iPhone and reduce the brightness to minimum. If you are still not satisfied and want to lower the intensity, simply press the power button three times and hit the “Reduce white dots” prompt. That’s it, you can now enjoy low brightness, and besides, if you want to tweak it further, just open Control Center again and use the brightness up and down slider. If you want to go back to normal at any time, just press the power button again and you’re done!
Remember that you will not see the Decrease White Points option if you have not enabled it. To do this, open Settings and select Display and Text Size. Then scroll down to turn on Reduce White Points and set the default intensity.
Concluding remarks
Try this method and see if it helps reduce eye strain at night. Alternatively, you can also use the Night Shift and Dark modes to have the screen filter out harmful blue light. You can easily turn them on by swiping down from the top right corner of the screen. Then press and hold the dimmer and select either Night Shift or Dark Mode, respectively.
