How to Login to Google Account without Verification Code.
Two-factor authentication is undoubtedly the best way to log into any website or service. So whenever you try to sign in with your Google account on a new device, it asks for confirmation. However, I recently ran into a situation where I couldn’t sign in to my Google account on a new device because I didn’t have a phone to verify my identity. If you find yourself in a situation where you need to sign in to your Google account without using your phone? Here’s an easy way to sign in to your Google account without a verification code. Let’s start.
How to log into Google account without verification code
While there are several different methods of verifying your identity, most of them require a different device that you’re signed in to. If you don’t have access to other devices, you need to do the following.
Try to sign in on a trusted device
Google remembers which devices you successfully logged in from, even if you subsequently log out. Let me explain with an example. A few weeks ago, I logged into a friend’s laptop to check a few emails and then logged out. Google trusts this device and will not ask you for a verification code in the future.
If you’ve ever found yourself in a situation where you were unable to sign in to your Google account on a new device, try to find the device you previously signed in to. Google will let you sign in without a verification code. It’s simple, right?
Try to sign in to a familiar Wi-Fi network
Google considers your home or work Wi-Fi to be a trusted location, and you can authenticate the verification by connecting your device to your home or work network. However, if you are away from home or work, this method will obviously not work.
Get help from Google
If you are away from home and can’t connect to your home or work Wi-Fi, you can ask Google to restore your account. Tap or click the Get Help option on the confirmation page and answer all questions correctly. You will be prompted to enter some details such as a phone number and email address. After you enter these details, Google will review your request and you will receive an access token in an email.
It may take 3-5 business days for Google to send you a response email. This is in no way ineffective as Google asks for a lot of your account details to verify your identity. So answer as many people as possible and hope for the best.
Honestly, you can’t hack your own account if Google won’t let you. However, you can avoid this problem in the future by implementing these methods. I have listed everything you can use to sign in to your Google account.
Avoid this problem in the future
1. Backup codes
You can find an option called backup code in your 2FA settings under your Google account settings. Enable this option and you will receive 10 backup codes. This means that you can use this method up to ten times to access your Google account without any verification.
To generate a backup code, go to your Google account settings page by clicking this link. In the Security section, find 2-Step Verification and click Backup Codes to generate it. Write these codes in a safe place where you can access them in the future.
Now that you cannot log into your Google account in the future, just use one of these codes and you should be fine. Each code works once and is replaced with a new one.
2. Electronic key
A security key is a kind of USB stick designed for two-step verification. These physical flash drives contain credentials or keys associated with your Google account. You can buy it from Amazon and store it in your wallet or desktop.
To use a key, you first need to link it to your account. To enable the dongle, go to Account Management Security 2FA Dongle and follow the instructions to connect the dongle to your account.
Now just use it when you login. On the verification page, click Try Another Method Security Key and insert the security key to log in. If the key was correctly linked to your account, you should be able to log in without any problems.
3. Applications for authentication.
Google has an Authenticator app that lets you sign in to your Google account if you can’t access it in the usual way. You will need to link the app to your account by scanning a QR code. I recommend using a family member’s phone so that even if you lose your phone, you can still call them and ask for the code. No, they won’t be able to access your account with just this code.
Go to Account Management Security Two-Step Verification Configure Authenticator App. Scan the QR code with the Authenticator app on your smartphone and it should start showing a code that changes every 30 seconds. You can now use this code to log into your Google account.
There are also other third party applications and devices that can be used to set up alternative authentication processes. For example, Authy works on multiple devices at the same time, unlike Authenticator. It even makes it easier to use in your daily life as you don’t have to pick up your phone every time to sign in to your account.
Packaging
Regardless of the problem, I still highly recommend that you use two-factor authentication as it is better than a security tradeoff. Not only Google, you can use 2FA on all of the following supported services: Twitter, Dropbox, Discord, Twitch, Facebook, LastPass, etc.
