How to create and insert text graphics in Google Docs
You can only embed Word art in the web version of Google Docs, not in the mobile app. Open Google Docs in your browser, and then create a new document or open the document in which you want to insert the Word illustration.
- Click the Insert button on the menu bar.
- Hover over the Drawing option in the drop-down menu and select New from the submenu.

- Behind the text: This places the Word graphic behind the text. This is a good idea for art like a watermark. However, make sure there is enough contrast between the Word image and the text.
- Before Text: Places the Word graphic in front of the text.
