How to Get Peacock TV on Firestick Outside the US.
Peacock TV is a new streaming service from NBC Universal that, unlike its competitors Netflix, Prime Videos, Disney +, and more, offers free content with ads. But there are two main problems here. First, it is not available outside the US, and second, like HBO Max, there is no support for Amazon Fire TV devices. As always, there is a workaround. In this article, I will show you how to get Peacock TV on Firestick from anywhere in the world. All you have to do is download the unpublished Peacock Android APK and VPN app on Firestick. And make some smart changes to the settings. Let’s see how to do it.
How to get Peacock TV on Firestick outside the US
I recently wrote an article on how to get Peacock TV outside of the US, you can follow this link to set it up on the web, on Android or even iOS devices. Signing up for Firestick is also easy, but there are a few steps to get the app.
Step 1. Enable “apps from unknown sources”
First things first, since you are installing Peacock outside of the official Amazon app store, you will need to enable side loading in your Firestick settings.
To do this, go to Settings, go to My Fire TV and select Developer Options. In this menu, enable “ADB Debugging” and “Applications from Unknown Sources”. When you see the warning, just click “Enable”. You can always disable “Apps from Unknown Sources” after installing Peacock.
Step 2. Install Downloader app on Firestick
Then, to install the Peacock app, you need to download the Downloader app from the Amazon Appstore. You can install it from the app store or just press and hold the “Microphone” button on the remote and ask Alexa to “Install the app to download”. If you are logged in with the same Amazon account on your phone or computer, you can click this link to install this app directly on Firestick.
Step 3. Download and install the Peacock app
After that, continue to open the Downloader app we installed earlier from the home screen. Use the remote control to navigate and open the built-in browser by clicking the browser button on the left panel. Use DPad to click the address bar at the top.
The virtual keyboard will appear, enter the URL “https://www.apkmirror.com/”. After loading the website, click the magnifying lens in the upper right corner.
Enter the app name “Peacock TV” and click the magnifying lens, now in the upper left corner, to search the website.
You will find several versions of the app available, click Peacock TV (Android TV).
After the download is complete, you will see a pop-up window. Click the “Install” button to install the application on Firestick.
If you live in the USA. that’s pretty much for you. You can safely login or create a new account and start enjoying your show. However, if you do not live in the US and try to log in, you will see an error. To fix this, you need to install VPN on Firestick. Let’s see how to do this in the next step.
Step 4. Download and install the VPN app
If you don’t already have the VPN app on Firestick, you can repeat step 3 to download the APK of your choice. It should be noted that not all VPN apps are supported by Firestick. You might end up with a weird layout. I tested PureVPN and Smart DNS Proxy and these apps worked.
Open the Downloader app and enter google.com in your browser’s address bar. Now in Google search enter Smart DNS Proxy VPN APK. If you are interested. From the search results, I can see that Apkpure has an APK SDP VPN. I’ll open it up and download the APK from there. Follow the same process as in step 3, wait for it to download and install.
Open the VPN app and open the settings page.
Make sure you have enabled TCP in your VPN app settings. I used TCP 80 and it worked flawlessly for me. We need to do this because the Peacock TV app detects the VPN when you are using UDP.
Turn on VPN and connect to a US server. Once the VPN is connected and launched, press the Home button.
Step 5. Log in to Peacock TV
Now just open the Peacock TV app and sign in. If you don’t have an account, just click the Sign Up to Start Watching button.
You will be prompted to create an account and enter your email address and set a password. Continue entering data and click Continue. You don’t even need to enter your credit card details to create an account.
That’s it, you can now watch the entire free catalog on Firestick. Enjoy!
If you get a login error
This is a summary of the steps you need to take to set up your Firestick with the Peacock TV app. It’s really simple and it only takes a few extra steps. If you get an error while logging in, it’s a good idea to clear your cache and force close the app.
Go to Settings Apps Manage Installed Apps Find Peacock TV, then clear data and force stop it. This will ensure that your previous login attempt without a VPN doesn’t get stuck.
After that, start the VPN again and open the app. It should start working again. What do you think of this method, let me know in the comments below or write me on Twitter?
