How to Get Netflix “Screen Lock†on Prime Videos And YouTube.
Netflix recently added a “screen lock” to its mobile app to prevent accidental pauses. Just open the Netflix app, play a TV show or movie, and you will see a “lock screen†option at the bottom of the screen. Once enabled, this feature will hide the Pause / Play and Forward / Back buttons on the screen, preventing accidental pauses.

Although screen lock is initially only available for the Netflix app, you can still get it for Prime Videos, YouTube, and all other streaming services using a third party app. Here’s how.
How to get Netflix Lock Screen on Prime Videos and YouTube
To do this, first of all, we need to install a third-party application called “Touch Lock”. After that, open the app and grant it the necessary permissions. There are several permissions, such as Display Over Other Applications and Accessibility Service. They are required by the app to display the lock icon on the video screen and to block touch input from the user.
Once you’ve granted the appropriate permissions, the app pretty much does the rest of the setup. The app is smart and sends a notification to the notification drawer when you are in the video streaming app.
As soon as you tap on the notification, it will lock the screen. You can see a transparent lock icon above the video screen. This means that all touch inputs on the screen are disabled for now. Also, when you need to resume normal touch operation, click the lock icon, enter a pattern and the lock screen will be removed. The app also has the ability to change the transparency and size of the lock icon.
The Touch Lock app also supports shake gesture. Basically, you can shake your phone to lock the screen instead of tapping on the notification. Similarly, you can shake your phone again to unlock the screen.
The app states that it can even block hardware triggers, but in my case it didn’t work on my Samsung Galaxy Note 9. But the biggest problem with the app is the full screen pop-ups. After using the app for a while, I could see rare pop-ups notifying about app usage statistics and a cheeky way to suggest you update.
I also tried another similar app from the Play Store called “Touch Lock” (again) . As with the previous app, even this couldn’t block the hardware buttons, at least on my Note 9.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a similar app for iOS. Apple does not allow one app to appear on top of another. So this is not possible at the moment.
Finally, if you’re looking for a solution to keep your kids from fiddling with their phone while watching videos, you can try the screen pinning feature on both Android and iOS.
