Each reward varies in rarity, and the rarer the reward, the less likely you are to receive it. So the more wishes you have, the better your chances of getting those in-demand items or characters.
So how do you get more desires? There are several different ways, and most of them come down to in-game currency, which is used to purchase wishes. There are two main types of wishes: standard wishes and temporary wishes. Wishes are granted through Destiny, either Intertwined Destiny or Aquainth Destiny. You can only get standard wish rewards with Aquaint Fates, but you can get time limited wish rewards with Intertwined Fates.
Fates are bought with Primogems. Also, you can use Genesis Crystals to get more Primogems. You will need 160 Primogems in Fate to get the wish. It is recommended to buy Intertwined Fates as it allows you to get special characters and items.
Since you can easily get Familiar Fates in the game for free, it makes sense to buy the hard-to-get Intertwined Fates. However, feel free to spend the money as you see fit.
To start this process, you need to buy Genesis Crystals. You can do this by going to the Shop in the main menu, then selecting Replenish Crystals. Then select “Wish” from the menu and go to your primaries in the top right corner.
Here you can convert your Genesis Crystals into Primogems. You can then use them in the Paimon Deal section of the Store to purchase Fates.
How to Get Wishes for Free
If you are not interested in using real money to get your wishes, there are many free ways to get Primogems or Fates, through which you can then get Wishes. Below are some of the easier ways to earn these rewards in Genshin Impact.
leveling up
You will receive free Primogems simply for advancing your adventuring rank. What’s more, certain ranks will sometimes give you an Acquaintance Fate. This is probably the easiest way as all you need to do is play the game and gain experience. However, it takes more time.
Adventurer’s Manual
Another easy way to get Primogems is through the Adventurer’s Handbook. You will receive this after you join the Adventurer’s Guild. When you open the guide and go to the “Experience” tab, you will see chapters with tasks that you need to complete. Once a whole chapter is completed, you will receive 50 Primogems.
Some of the missions can also reward you with a familiar fate, so make sure you pay close attention to them.

Battle Pass
At Adventure Rank 20, you will unlock the Battle Pass. This allows you to complete certain missions to level up your Battle Pass. For every ten levels of the Battle Pass, you will receive Aquaint Fates. This can be a great opportunity to earn additional fortunes over a period of time.

Genshin Impact has a lot of events, and if you participate in them, you are sure to earn some Primogems. You can also get both “Introduction” and “Intertwined Fates” from time to time through events.
