How to Fix You Have Downloads on Too Many Devices Netflix Error.
Netflix offers some pretty solid features like Full HD streaming, a huge catalog of TV shows, movies, and offline downloads. I especially like the offline mode as it comes in handy when traveling and traveling where a high-speed internet connection is rarely available.
In preparation for last week’s vacation, I wanted to download some of the Love Death and robots episodes. When I started uploading I got this error:
You have downloads on too many devices. remove downloads from another device, or go to netflix.com/changeplan for plan options.
The first thing I did was change the Netflix password, but it didn’t work. The second option is to upgrade my plan to Standard or Premium, but that will cost me more given the fact that others are debiting money from the account I originally paid for. Fortunately, there is an easy way to remove other devices from your account, and you can even do this on your smartphone. I’ll show you the methods for both PC and mobile. Let’s start.

You will be prompted to select a user, you can select any user as this will not change the steps In the upper right corner, you will see your avatar. Click on it to open the drop-down menu. Select “Account”.
It shows all account details, scroll down to the Settings section and click on Manage Boot Devices to open all associated devices that downloaded content to their devices.
It will show you a list of devices with current downloads and the device name. Click the Remove Device button. This will remove all downloaded content from their device. It’s really that simple.
For mobile
If you’re using Netflix on a mobile phone, removing other devices from your Netflix account is pretty easy. You can do this on both Android and iOS. While the steps for both apps are pretty much the same, iOS requires you to manually sign in to your Netflix account in your web browser.
Open your Netflix account in your smartphone browser. If you are using Netflix on Android, just open the app, click More in the bottom right corner and select Account, it will redirect you to the web browser.
iOS has slightly stricter restrictions and Netflix does not have the ability to redirect you to an account, so log into your Netflix account directly from your web browser. Click the “Hamburger” button in the upper left corner and select “Account”.
The steps for Android and iOS are the same here. Scroll down to Settings and find Boot Device Management. Click on the option and it will show all the devices associated with your account.
It will show you a list of devices with current downloads. You can click on the Show Downloads link to see what shows they have downloaded.
Unfortunately, there is no way to know which users have downloaded the show, so you just have to guess.
To remove a device from your Netflix account, click the “Remove device†button below the user and boom, they disappeared from your account and can no longer watch the downloaded videos.
Closing words
These were two ways to remove downloadable devices from your Netflix account in a few easy steps. You do not get all the information, but basic information, for example, about the operating system of the device (Android or iOS). It is difficult to determine who exactly used your download account, but when you remove a device, all downloads on that device are no longer available. And you can start downloading on your own device. Let us know if you have any problems removing boot devices from your Netflix account in the comments below.
