How To Fix The iPhone Call Failed Error.
The iPhone Call Failure error appears when your device cannot successfully complete a call. This can happen for a variety of reasons, and if you don’t know what is causing it, you will need to use some of the common methods to see if they can help you fix the problem.
This is actually a serious problem as it prevents you from making any calls from your iPhone. However, after you have applied some of the following methods, we hope the problem goes away from your phone.
Make sure you have funds in your account
Insufficient funds in your prepaid account may result in an iPhone call error. You want your account to have sufficient funds for the call you are trying to make. You can fund your account with different denominations to fund it.
If you have a postpaid account, you will need to talk to your provider to resolve this issue.
Make sure the contact is not blocked
Perhaps the contact you are trying to call is indeed blocked on your iPhone. You want to make sure that this person is not on your blacklist and you can check this as follows.
- Launch the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Click Phone.
- Select Call Blocking and Identification.
- Check the list and make sure your contact is not blocked.
Toggle Airplane Mode
Sometimes turning airplane mode on and off fixes the call failed error on iPhone and it’s well worth it. Even if that doesn’t work, you won’t lose anything (other than being online for a while).
–
- Start the Settings Application.
- Set the airplane mode switch to ON.
- Wait about a minute.
- Return the switch to the OFF position.
Enable Caller ID Option
Some countries allow you to hide your Caller ID from showing on the recipient’s phones. This feature is not supported in all countries, and you can try turning it off and then see if you can call.
- Open the Settings app.
- Click Phone.
- Select the Show Caller ID option.
- Click the toggle next to Show Caller ID.
Disable Do Not Disturb
Do not disturb mode on your iPhone keeps your messages and calls silent, but sometimes it can cause a call failed error on your iPhone. You must turn it off when you call.
- Open the Settings app.
- Click on the Do Not Disturb option.
- Uncheck the toggle next to Do Not Disturb.
Disable call forwarding
Call Forwarding helps you forward incoming calls on your iPhone, and Apple recommends not to turn it on when an iPhone calling error appears on your device.
- Launch the Settings app.
- Click on the Phone option.
- Select the Call Forwarding option.
- Disable call forwarding switch.

- Press the Home button twice to see a list of open applications.
- Swipe up on apps. and they will be closed.
Re-insert the SIM Card into Your iPhone
If the SIM card is disconnected and not firmly inserted into the slot, it may cause call problems on your device. Fixing this should be quick and easy as all you have to do is take it out and put it back in. If there is a problem with the card itself, you will need to replace it with your provider.
- Pull the SIM card tray out of the iPhone.
- Remove the SIM card from it.
- Insert it back, making sure it fits correctly into the slot.
