How To Fix iPhone Touch Screen Not Working.
Sometimes, your iPhone’s touchscreen might just stop working for no apparent reason. If the screen is completely unresponsive and it is due to physical damage, you will need to take it to an Apple center to fix it.
However, if the problem only occurs from time to time, there may be something wrong with your phone’s software or the accessories you are using. Changing certain settings on your iPhone might fix the problem. In this article, we’ll show you how to do this.

Clean Your iPhone Screen
Another possible reason your iPhone’s touchscreen might not work is if it has accumulated dust on it. If you don’t clean your phone screen regularly, dust will collect on it over time, and the dust will become sticky if you spill sticky liquid on it.
Take a clean cloth and gently wipe the iPhone screen. If the screen is too sticky, you can use a damp cloth. If possible, use a high quality screen cleaner made for phones and laptops.

Remove Screen Protector
Screen protectors are designed to protect your phone’s screen, but some are of poor quality and can cause touch problems. If your iPhone’s touchscreen stopped working after you applied the screen protector, that might be to blame.
Remove the protective film from the iPhone and see if the touchscreen works. If so, you should buy a quality screen protector to keep your screen from freezing.
Reinstall the application which may be causing the problem
If the iPhone touchscreen stops responding only while using certain apps, there may be a problem with those apps. Removing and reinstalling these apps may fix the problem.
If the problem persists even after reinstalling the problematic app, it’s likely that the app has an underlying problem. In this case, you should avoid using the app and preferably uninstall it from your phone until the fixed version is available.
- Press and hold the problematic app, and then tap the X on it.
- You will receive a message asking if you want to uninstall the application. Click “Uninstall” and the app will be removed from your iPhone.
- Launch the App Store, find your app and install it on your phone.

Your iPhone needs a little free memory space to work. If you are running out of memory on your phone completely, you need to get rid of unwanted content to free up memory.
- Launch the iPhone Settings app and click on General Questions.
- Click on iPhone storage on the next screen.
- You will see what is taking up and how much memory. This should help you decide what you want to remove from your phone to free up memory space.
Update OS on your iPhone
It goes without saying that your iPhone’s operating system should always be up to date. Many problems, including those related to the touch screen, are usually fixed in new versions of iOS. If an update is available for your iPhone, you should install it now.
- Launch the Settings app and click General.
- Click “Software Update” on the next screen.
- If an update is available, your iPhone will ask you to download and install it.

Apple has included several options in Settings so you can change how your iPhone responds to taps. You can try changing these settings and see if they fix the unresponsive touchscreen on your device.
- Open the Settings app and click General.
- Click Accessibility on the next screen.
- Select the Touch Touch option.
- Turn on the Touch Tap option at the top.
- Change the other parameters as desired.
Reset all settings on your iPhone
