How to Find And Hide Naughty Photos on Your iPhone.
You have a cool vacation photo that you want to show your coworker, but when you hand them your phone, they quickly start flipping through your camera. Here is your privacy. Obviously, the first question that pops into your head is how to find and hide private photos on your iPhone. Because you definitely don’t want your nude bodies to end up in an art gallery like leaked images of some Hollywood actors did. But is it so easy to browse through thousands of photos and choose one by one? Here’s an easy way to hide photos that you don’t want others to see.
I am going to use an app called Orga, which is available on the iOS App Store for free. Currently, the app only supports image files, so you cannot use it to hide videos.

Find and hide naughty photos on your iPhone
Step 1: Download the Orga app on your iPhone
Orga (free) is a photo management application that uses an artificial intelligence based search engine and categorizes images. It can read the contents of an image and even recognize text. This way, you can even search for text in your image gallery. The app uses internal memory and does not upload images to the Internet, so your privacy is also taken care of.
Step 2: Give the app permission and let it scan your gallery
After you download the application, it will show you a small preview of what the application is, you can see it or just skip it, since you are already reading this article. Immediately after joining, you will be asked permission to access your photo gallery. Allow permission and let it scan your device’s gallery.
Step 3: Open the search bar
It doesn’t take long for the app to scan photos, and even if you have a lot of them, you can still start your search from scanned photos. It took me an hour to scan 11,000 photos, which is pretty fast in my opinion.
To start searching, swipe up and you will see that the app banner is hidden, and a search bar appears in the center at the top of the app. Click on it to go to the search page.
Step 4: Search your photos with keywords
Start typing your search term, and as you start typing, you will see several suggestions. And in front of them will be the number of images available for each request. Click on any of the keywords to see the results.
Step 5: Search for nudes by sensitivity
Of all the keywords you can search for, “nude” has a different characteristic. When searching for “nude”, you will be shown an additional option to adjust the sensitivity of your search query. Click the settings icon in the upper right corner of the screen and adjust the bar that appears at the bottom. You will see the effect immediately.
Step 6: Hide pictures in password protected vault
Hiding photos is a two-step process after you’ve searched for images. Select the images you want to hide and click “save to photo vault†to hide them all in a password protected vault on your device’s memory. The photo will be temporarily removed from your iCloud to make it completely private. You can choose not to allow deletion, but then your photo will be duplicated and saved in both places, which makes no sense.
Step 7: Show / Uninstall protected photos
The action of removing the image from the cloud and saving it to a password protected vault can be reversed very well. Just click on Albums in the center of the bottom of the screen and click on “Photo Vault†at the top. Select images and click move to album. This will display the photo and return it to its original folder.
Step 8: set up passcode and FaceID
The app will prompt you to create a new password at the very beginning, because that’s the whole point of this app. But you can create the same at a later stage. Likewise, FaceID can be turned on in the settings menu under the Me tab in the lower right corner of the app.
Password protect photos on iPhone
That’s it, you can now safely store your private photos in a secure vault. And since the storage is stored locally, you don’t have to worry about potential leaks from the cloud. As I mentioned earlier, you cannot protect the video yet. But given the quality of the features the app provides, I really think this should be a paid app. So come on, grab it until you can free it. It’s a really great tool and can even be used like a regular photo app, as you can browse and view all of your photos and folders just like your native photo app.
For Android devices
For Android users, a similar alternative would be Cover (free). This media storage app is extremely easy to use and is almost identical to what Orga offers on the iPhone. The only difference between the two is that Cover does not classify or identify NSFW images and you will have to select images manually. But on the other hand, you can even hide and lock video files in its storage, unlike Orga. Cover vault is protected by password or fingerprint authentication.
In Cover, the scanning process is a bit slow and most of the scanning will be done while your phone is connected to a power source. These settings can of course be changed. You can select one or more files at the same time to hide them in the vault. While in the vault, your files will be removed from the main gallery. One or all files can be discovered at once, which will lead to their recovery in the main gallery and deletion from safe storage. Tell us about your experience in the comments below.
