How to Enable Vibration When The Outgoing Calls Are Answered.
I absolutely hate waiting when I call someone, so I need my phone to vibrate when someone answers the call. On most phones, this is a built-in feature that you can turn on in settings, but on most Samsung and Android phones with stock Android, this isn’t possible. Don’t worry, we have a solution for both. Here’s how you can vibrate when you call when the other person answers. Let’s start.
Vibration is enabled natively
ColorOS
I tested my RealmeXT with ColorOS 6 and it initially had the ability to vibrate when answering a call, but you can also find it on any phone with ColorOS. Just open settings and search for vibration. Then in the search results, you can find an option labeled “Vibrate on answer/end call”. This will enable vibration on every call you receive and when you disconnect.
OnePlus
I then tested it on a OnePlus 6t running Android 9 (OxygenOS version 9.0.17) and this time the option is hidden in the call settings, not in the Settings app. Just open the dialer and click Settings in the upper right corner. Then scroll down and select Sounds and vibration. Then turn on vibration when connected. This will activate the option and make the phone vibrate as soon as the call is answered.
MAUI
On Xiaomi phones with MIUI, open the Dialer app and tap on the three stripes option. Scroll down or find and tap Advanced settings.
Press Vibrate On Answer and choose whether you want to together mute only or choose between light and normal callback links.
Unlike ColorOS, MIUI says it vibrates when your call is answered, don’t worry, it will also vibrate when the call is disconnected, it just isn’t explicitly stated.
Chances are, you might have a different user interface, but your phone might have this option, but with different settings. In my opinion, searching for “Vibration” in any user interface will show you an option and you can choose from there.
Enable vibration using a third-party app
If you have a Samsung smartphone or Stock Android phone such as a Pixel, then chances are you won’t find a built-in option to turn on vibration when answering the phone.
Fortunately, there is always a way to customize Android. To vibrate when someone answers your call, you need to download an app called “Nevolution”. This is an open source (still in beta) application that helps improve the notification experience on Android.
Open Play Store and search for or Revolution . Download and install the app.
Now open the app. It will ask you to access notifications . Grant access and you’re done.
This method will work on most phones on which it is not a built-in UI feature. You can also try installing it on other phones, but be careful. However, I experimented with this app by turning off the vibration setting and to my surprise it didn’t work with my phone.
You might want to use Nevolution for other notification settings, but if you use vibrate to customize your UI call this will disable this feature.
Final Words
This is a must-have feature on any phone and is not intrusive. I like to use it on my RealmeXT, but maybe I haven’t installed a separate app to enable it. But this is pretty subjective. You can also pay attention to the details as we did not feel any vibration when the other person hung up, unlike ColorOS and MIUI.
If there is any other similar app that allows you to use Android’s notification capabilities, please let us know, we’ll be happy to give it a try!
