How to Enable Dark Mode on WhatsApp Web.
WhatsApp released Dark Mode for Android and iOS back in March. But they haven’t provided updates on WhatsApp for quite some time now. Many people have started using weird dark mode tricks on the WhatsApp network, such as changing items in check mode in the Chrome browser. But it’s tricky, as dark mode reverts back to normal with every update. So you have to repeat the process every time.
Anyway, WhatsApp has just officially started rolling out dark mode for the web. this is how you can enable it.
How to enable dark mode on WhatsApp Web
To enable dark mode, open the WhatsApp website and scan the QR code scanner with your phone. You can do this by selecting the WhatsApp web option from the three-dot WhatsApp menu on your phone.
Once logged in, open the three-dot menu on the WhatsApp network and select “Settings”.
Click “Theme” and you will see a popup asking you to choose a theme. Just select the “Dark” option and click “OK”.
So, you can access the WhatsApp network in dark mode. However, it is not quite dark like in iOS, but rather a combination of dark gray and off-white, like in Android. And this option will only enable dark mode for that system. If you want to use a different system or browser, you need to manually activate it again. This option works with files even if you are using apps like Station, Franz, as they just open the web version of WhatsApp in their app.
In case that doesn’t work for you, just wait a few hours, you should see an option in settings. If you have any problems, let us know in the comments below.
