How To Download TikTok Videos in 2020

There is a lot of video content on TikTok, and sometimes you might want to download videos from TikTok to your devices. Downloading videos from TikTok allows you to watch your favorite content even when you are not connected to the Internet. It also allows you to share these files with others using your preferred sharing methods.

There are different ways to download TikTok videos to multiple devices.

Download TikTok videos to Android

If you’re using an Android device, you have two ways to download TikTok videos to your phone or tablet.

Using the TikTok app itself

One way to download TikTok videos on Android is by using the official TikTok app. This method works for all videos for which the author has allowed uploads.

1. Launch the TikTok app on your phone.
2. Find the video you want to download.
3. You will see several options in the right sidebar. Click on the option with an arrow icon (it is for posting videos).

4. On the next screen, you will have several ways to share the selected video. Since you want to download this video from TikTok, tap on the Save Video option.

5. Wait for the video to download to your device. You will see the progress on the screen in real time.

6. A menu will open where you can share your video. Click “Cancel” as your video is downloading to your device.

7. Open the Gallery app and you will find your selected TikTok video uploaded there.

Using WhatsApp

Some videos on TikTok do not support the download feature. However, there is a workaround to download these TikTok videos using WhatsApp.

1. Launch WhatsApp on your phone.
2. Click on the three dots in the upper right corner and select New Group.

3. Select a contact to add to your group. You will delete them later and they will not see the videos you uploaded.
4. Enter a name for your group and tap the checkmark icon.

5. Open the newly created group and click on its name at the top.

6. Find the contact you added, click on it and select “Remove”. This will remove them from the group.

7. Launch TikTok on your device.
8. Play the video you want to download. Then click the Share icon in the right sidebar.

9. From the Share to menu, tap WhatsApp.

10. Select the new group with which you want to share your video on TikTok.

11. Open File Manager and go to Internal Storage> WhatsApp> Media> WhatsApp Video> Sent. There you will find your TikTok video.

Download TikTok videos to iPhone

IPhone users can download videos from TikTok in three different ways. This includes downloading non-downloadable videos.

Using the official TikTok app

If the video you want to download is allowed to download, you can use the TikTok app to save it to your phone.

1. Open the TikTok app on your iPhone.
2. Play the video you want to download.
3. Tap the Share icon in the right menu.

4. Select the Save Video option.

5. Ignore the Share To menu that appears on the screen and click Finish to get rid of it.

6. The downloaded TikTok video will be available in the Photos app on your iPhone.
7. To quickly download a video, press and hold the video and select Save. video. This does not require opening the sharing menu.

Using Instagram

If you come across a video that has download disabled, you can still download it to your phone using the Instagram app.

1. Make sure Instagram is installed on your iPhone and you’re signed in to your account.
2. Open the TikTok app on your iPhone.
3. Find the video you want to download.
4. Click the Share icon in the right sidebar.

5. Choose Instagram from the Share To menu to share your video to Instagram It won’t actually be published on your profile.

6. Instagram post mode will open. Click “Cancel” in the upper left corner as you don’t want to post anything.

7. Open the Photos app on your iPhone and you will find the TikTok video of your choice uploaded there.

Using Total Files

If you are not using Instagram and would like to download a disabled TikTok video to your iPhone, you can use the Total Files file manager app to do so.

1. Open the Save app on your iPhone, find Total Files and install it.
2. Launch the TikTok app on your iPhone.
3. Select the video you want to download.
4. Click the share icon in the right sidebar.

5. Select “Copy Link” on the next screen to copy the link to the selected video.

6. Open the Total files app on your iPhone.
7. Click on the Internet icon in the lower right corner.

8. Press and hold the address bar at the top and select “Paste.” Then click “Go” at the bottom.

9. Play the video on the next screen.

10. Click on the video when it starts playing and you will be prompted. Click on the green checkmark icon.

11. Total files will be asked where you want to save the video. Select a destination and click Finish.

12. The video will be uploaded and available for viewing in the Total Files application.

Download TikTok videos to PC

You don’t need to install any apps to download TikTok videos to your computer. All you need is access to a link for your video, and you can download and save the video to your Windows or Mac computer.

Using the page source

You can access the video source code on TikTok and get a direct link to download the video from there.

1. Use TikTok’s Copy Link feature on your phone to copy a video link and send it to your computer.
2. Open the link in a browser on your computer.
3. Right-click the video and select Inspect.

4. You will see a download link as shown below. Open it in a new tab.

5. Right-click the video and choose Save Video As.

Using the online downloader

There are many online TikTok downloaders available to help you download TikTok videos to your computers.
