How to Download and Install iCloud on Windows 10 Computer.
iCloud for Windows 10 lets you sync all your documents, photos, videos, emails, and even Safari bookmarks. There is also room for third party browsers. Everything updates and syncs across all your devices. To do this, you will need to download and install iCloud on your Windows 10 computer. Don’t forget to set up iCloud on other Apple devices like Mac, iPhone, iPad. Otherwise, there will be nothing to synchronize and update in the first place.

What you need or basic requirements
Here’s everything you need before you can download and install iCloud on your computer.
- You need an Apple ID. To do this, you can use an iCloud account, iPhone or iPad, Apple Music, iMessage, App Store, or any other Apple service account. All accounts associated with this ID will sync.
- Microsoft Windows 10 May 2019 Update or later
- iCloud for Windows 7 is also available separately
- iTunes 12.7 or later
- Outlook 2010 – Outlook 2016
- Firefox 45 or later, Google Chrome 54 or later (desktop mode only), Microsoft Edge or Opera
Note that iCloud is not available to Managed Apple ID users. Some features may not be available depending on your region and iCloud version.
Follow these steps if you are not sure which version of Windows you have. Press Windows Key + R to open the Run prompt and type winver before pressing Enter. You should see a popup with information about your Windows version. The OS version and build can be used to search Google for additional information, including the release date.
Download iCloud to your Windows computer
Go to the download page and click the big blue button to start the iCloud download. Save the file, when asked, somewhere so you can easily find it later. You can also download it from the Microsoft Store, which I recommend. This will make it easier to install subsequent updates released by Apple.
If you downloaded the file instead, double-click the icon to start the installation process. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the setup. Never download iCloud from any other untrusted source. It may contain malware, virus or Trojan horse. Your data could be stolen or, even worse, your system could be hacked and intercepted by ransomware.

How to set up iCloud
Launch iCloud and sign in with your Apple ID. iCloud should open automatically, but if it doesn’t, just click the iCloud icon in the task manager next to your clock to open the settings. Select the file types and data that you want to sync with your Windows 10 computer. This includes photos and videos stored in the Photos application; letters, contacts, calendar and tasks saved in the respective applications; Safari bookmarks and other files you’ve saved to iCloud.
Notice the Options button on the right? Let’s go over them quickly. The Bookmarks option will let you choose which of the browser bookmarks you want to sync, and this is no longer limited to Safari. Also included are Firefox and Chrome.
By clicking on the “Photo Options” button, you get two new options. You can sync photos and videos stored on your computer with iCloud. You can only share these photos and videos with those you share these folders with. You can come back and change these settings at any time later.
By clicking on the “Storage” button, you will separate all applications that are taking up storage space in your iCloud account. Then you can decide which applications are consuming resources and what can be done about it.
You can also buy additional storage space from this popup. Turning on Photos will automatically create an iCloud Photos folder in File Explorer. The same goes for the iCloud Drive folder, which will be created if you choose to sync these files too.
Are you using Outlook? Enabling Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Tasks will add a folder to the Outlook app on Windows 10 that you can use to access this data. You should see it in the left pane of Windows regardless of which version of Outlook you are using.

Please note that iTunes is different from iCloud. Some Windows users get confused between the two, leading to further delays.
