How to Disable “Are You Still Watching?†Prompt on Netflix.
If you are an avid Netflix user, you may have noticed the ambiguous “Are you still watching?” This usually pops up when Netflix suspects that the user has stopped watching the show. This usually helps Netflix conserve your data as well as its bandwidth, but if you’re watching drinking, having these pop-ups in the middle is just annoying. Anyway, while you can’t turn it off in Netflix’s settings, you can use a third-party Chrome extension on your desktop. Here’s how.
How to disable “Are you still watching?” From Netflix, directed at your desktop
If you are using Chrome or any Chromium-based browsers like Edge that support Chrome extensions, you can use this “Never Ending Netflix†or “Netflix Pause Removal†Chrome extension.
Netflix Pause Removal is only intended to remove this continuing watch message, whereas Never Ending Netflix also provides the option to skip title sequences, end credits, auto-play promoted videos, etc. If you are looking for a non-distracting binge-watching experience, I highly recommend you use Never Ending Netflix.
Anyway, the Netflix Never Ending add-on is not available in the Firefox add-on store, so you can use the Netflix Pause Removal add-on.
Disable “Are you still watching?” Prompt on TV and mobile
Unlike on a desktop computer, you cannot turn off this invitation on TV and mobile. Either way, you can either interact with the app by changing the volume, skipping the title sequences, or simply manually start the next episode by stopping the autoplay feature.
You can turn off Autoplay for each profile by going to Profile Account Playback Settings, turning off Autoplay Next Episode in Series on All Devices, and clicking Save. That’s it, now all you have to do is hit the next release button.

While this post is annoying, Netflix tries to save people’s data and claims they save an average of 2 billion GB of data every week around the world. This feature also helps Netflix conserve bandwidth, which enables faster streaming for the people who are watching. Do you think this app is useful or is it just annoying?
