How to Delete chrome History YouTube and Search Activity.

When you click the play button on a video, YouTube saves your browsing history and any searches you performed. YouTube does this to gauge your browsing habits. These options will tell YouTube what to recommend next time. Like Google, it also speeds up the search and browsing of a video site.

If you don’t want this to happen, you can sign out of your YouTube account or use the site in a private browser window or in incognito mode on your mobile device. But if you’re already signed in and just want to delete your YouTube history and search activity, here’s how to do it.

How to Delete YouTube Watch History

Go down to the left side of the YouTube home page. Click “History” to open your browsing history.

On the right, you will see a list of story types that allows you to choose the specific nature of your YouTube story. Browsing history is selected by default. To delete individual videos, hover over the video you want to delete and then click on the X that appears on it.

If you want to clear all browsing history, look at the bottom of the list on the right and click “Clear all browsing history”.If you want, you can also click Pause Browsing History to prevent YouTube from saving the history of the videos you have watched.

Go back to the story page after logging into YouTube.
Make sure your search history is selected on the right side of the list. After that, your YouTube search history should appear.
Move your mouse over the search terms you want to delete and click the X that appears above them. Just like your browsing history, you can clear your entire search history or pause it by selecting these options in the right sidebar.

On the same story page, browse the list of story types on the right and select Comments.
Hover over the comment you want to delete and click on the three vertical dots that appear above It.
Select “Delete” or “Edit” if you would rather just edit your comment.

How to Find and Edit All YouTube Activity

You can also see all your YouTube activity at a glance, and from here you can also edit and delete your YouTube history. You can also choose whether certain activities are saved, enable the automatic deletion of YouTube activities, and more.

To find all your activity, follow these steps:

On the left side of the YouTube home page, click History.

In the right sidebar of this page, select Manage All Activities. The Google My Activity account page will open in a new tab where you can see your entire collected YouTube history.

You will notice two notable options above your story.

Keep active: When checked, your watch and YouTube search history are saved. If you choose this option, you can prevent YouTube from saving your browsing history, search history, or both.

Auto Delete: You can let YouTube automatically delete all activities after a certain amount of time. To do this, click the “Autodelete” button. In the next window, choose to automatically delete the activity after 3, 18 or 36 months. After choosing an option, click Next to save your settings.

You also have the option to search in your activity if there is something specific that you want to remove.

Then click the “Filter by Date” button to select the time period to search.

You can use the results to search for a specific video, watch it again, or remove it from the list.

You can delete this lesson in parts every day, or you can delete each lesson individually. Simply click the trash can icon to delete the entire day’s activity, or tap the three vertical dots in the upper right corner of an individual saved activity and click Delete.

Finally, on the left side of the My Google Activities screen, you’ll see a Delete Activity Before option.

If you click on it, a window will appear where you can delete YouTube activities for the last hour, last day, or all time. You can also select a custom time range to remove videos that fall within it.

Can You Get Your Deleted YouTube History Back?

Remember that after deleting your YouTube activities, you will no longer be able to find them. Also, depending on what you delete, you can change what YouTube shows and recommends to you.

You also won’t be able to see past searches in the YouTube search bar. Therefore, when you delete your saved YouTube history and search activity, keep in mind that you will start from scratch.
