Here’s how to browse the template collection and filter the options.
Find a vision board template
- To view templates, visit the Vision Board templates page on Canva. You can sign in to your Canva account before or after you find the template.
- You’ll see a ton of templates, but you can use filters to narrow down your selection. Select All filters on the left.
- Select the checkboxes for the options you want to use in the sidebar. For example, you can filter by style, price, or color. Click Apply at the bottom of the sidebar to view the updated results.
- When you see a template you’re interested in, you can preview it. Click the three dots in the upper right corner of the template image and select View this template.
- You will then see a larger image and full details, including dimensions, color scheme and fonts. To use a template, select Customize this template in the top right corner.
If you want to get started right away without previewing, you can also select Customize this template on the results page using the three dots in the top right corner of the image.

Customize your vision board

Add images
You can upload saved photos or browse Canva images to find one that suits you.To upload your own images, select Downloads on the left. Use the three dots to the right of the Upload Files button to select a file from your computer, Facebook, Google Drive, Instagram or Dropbox. To use a Canva image, select Elements on the left. Scroll down to Photos and use the arrow to scroll right or select View All to view more . images immediately.
- To replace an image, select it on the board, use the Delete icon (trash) and select Delete image on the floating toolbar.
- Select or drag the image you want to use to place it on your board.
- You can drag the edge of the image to resize it, especially if it is very large. Once you have an approximate size, drag it onto the image placeholder and it will automatically snap to the correct size.
Replace and add text
For example text in the template, you can simply select the text inside the field and enter your own.
To add additional text, select Text from the sidebar. You can then choose a style, a font combination, or simply add a blank field and enter text.
To change the font style, size, color, format, or add an effect, select the text field and use the editing tools at the top.
Add, remove, or change the order of elements
You can add any item you like to your vision board, and you really should. Whether it’s another image, sticker or graphic, frame or shape, use the Canva library in the sidebar to select the element you want. Then select or drag it onto the board.
To delete an existing element or one you added, select it and use the Delete icon on the floating toolbar.
If you want to place elements in different places, it’s as easy as dragging and dropping them. Select an element and drag it to the desired location. As you drag, you’ll see colored guides to help you align the item with the others.
Save or share your Canva vision board
If you want to save your finished board or even share it with your best friend, it’s easy to do. Click the Share button in the top right corner to upload or share the board.
To save your vision board as an image on your device, select Download. Then select file type, configure size and check additional settings if necessary.
To share your board on social media, select Share on Social Media. Then choose a service, such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok or Pinterest.
To share your board using another method, select More. Then select a sharing option at the top, such as a view-only link, or embed or use one of the additional social networks or messaging services listed.
