How To Create A Custom Vibration on iPhone?.
Just as you can set your own ringtone for specific contacts, you can also set a customized vibration for your iPhone. It helps you find out who is calling or texting without looking at the iPhone screen. This feature has been around for a long time, but it’s hidden in the settings. Let’s see how to do it.
Create custom vibration on iPhone
To get started, select the Settings app icon, scroll down to Sound Settings and tap an option to open it.

Under Sounds and Vibration Patterns, you will find several different options such as ringtone, text tone, voicemail, alerts, and AirDrop. You can adjust the vibration for each category individually. For now, I would stick with vibration when calling, so tap the Ringtone option to continue. At the top you will find “Vibration”. Click to open a list of available vibration patterns.
In the Custom section, click Create New Vibration. Tap an empty area to start recording your drawing. You can easily press for a short burst or press and hold for a longer burst. You can even create popular ringtones using only vibration.
If you are satisfied with the recording you created, play it by clicking the play button in the lower left corner. After that click on the save button in the upper right corner and give your template a name. Just select a template to set it as a call notification.
Set custom vibration for individual contacts
Some calls can be ignored, while others must be answered. In this case, setting an individual vibration for a specific contact can help you distinguish who is calling. Just open the Contacts app and tap the contact’s name. Open the Edit menu by clicking the Edit button in the upper right corner.
Click the Ringtone button to open the Ringtone menu, and here you can choose both your own ringtones and custom vibrations. Select Vibration to open a list of vibration patterns available on your iPhone.
Now select a custom vibration in the Custom section and you’re done. Every time this contact calls you, your iPhone will beep in this vibration mode.
Delete custom vibration
If you ever want to remove custom vibrations from your iPhone, just go to Settings Sound Ringtone Vibration and click the Change button in the top right corner. It will show you all the vibrations that can be removed. In our case, we can only remove custom vibrations. Click the red delete button to the left of any picture.
You will now see a Delete button to the right of the selected item. Click the Remove button and repeat the process for all vibrations that you want to remove. Click Finish to finish.
Last words
It was a quick way to customize vibrations on your iPhone. I keep my iPhone vibrating all the time, so it makes sense to create a custom vibration pattern. You can repeat the steps to change vibration for Airdrop, alerts, messages, etc. Try it and let me know if you have any problems in the comments below.
