How to Copy Text From Paper to Your Laptop With Google Lens.

With the recent Google lens update, users can now copy text from paper and then send it to their laptop or PC. The best part is, this trick works with Android, iPhone, Windows, Mac, Chrome OS, Linux, or anything that the Chrome browser supports. So, the next time you want to print something printed or handwritten on paper, you can simply copy it with a lens and paste it onto your computer.

Before we start

There are a few basic requirements: your laptop must be running Google Chrome, and if you are using Android you must have Google Lens installed on your phone. If you have an iPhone, you can find the Google Lens feature in the Google app. Also, if you have multiple accounts, make sure you’re signed in with the same Google account on both devices. Once you have everything ready, you can start.

To get started, open the Google Assistant app on your Android device and tap the Google Lens button at the bottom left of the screen. This will open the camera where you can take a photo of the paper. For iOS, open the Google app and navigate to the Google lens option.

Now all you have to do is scan the paper using the Google lens. This also works with images you have already taken. To convert them, open the Google Photos app on your phone and navigate to the image you want to convert to text, then click the “Google Lens” icon at the bottom.

Click on it to start selecting text, you can customize the selection using markers. After completing your selection, you can find the Copy to Computer option. Just click on it. If you are logged in to multiple computers, simply select the system you want to send the highlighted text to.

And hello, that’s all. You will receive a notification that the text has been copied from your phone.

You can paste it anywhere on your system including Notepad, Word, Safari, Edge, etc.

If you don’t see any notifications from Chrome, open Google Docs on your desktop, create a new blank document, and go to “Edit” to “Paste” the text. Source: Google

Packaging

If you’re not a Chrome user, that’s okay, as this trick works even when the browser is closed. So, all you have to do is download Chrome and sign in to your account. Every time you copy something, a pop-up notification appears and you can use the copied text in any software or browser.

However, this trick does not work when you are trying to translate and copy. Hopefully Google will introduce this feature in the future.
