How to Check Remaining Data on Your Idea Plan.
While most cellular providers offer an unlimited data plan, they have a daily limit of 2GB to 3GB. And once you exceed this limit, your Internet will either stop working or you will have to pay a lot of additional costs. Fortunately, most data providers allow you to track your daily data usage on the air by typing a simple USSD code or the official app. Let’s see how much cellular data you use in Idea.

Check the remaining data on your idea plan
1. Use USSD codes
Unstructured Supplementary Service Data or USSD Codes are a collection of numbers that you can use to get information such as your plan details, remaining data, expiration date, etc. This is the easiest way to verify the remaining data. However, each service provider has a different set of codes.
To check the details left in your Idea account from your phone,
- Open the phone app, enter * 111 * 2 * 1 # and press the dial button.
- Or you can dial * 111 # and follow the onscreen instructions to get more information about your account.
2. Use the My Idea app
Although the USSD method is simple, it is not future proof as companies are constantly updating their IVR menus. To avoid this, you can use the My Idea app, which works very well and can display all the data associated with your account, such as expiration date, remaining data, balance, offers, etc. The app is available to both users Android and iOS.

3. Use the Network Tracker app
Your service provider may slightly delay updating the leftover data in your account, which may result in overuse charges. This can be easily avoided by using a third-party network tracking app. While there are many network tracking apps for Android, I use an iOS app known as My Data Manager. Since I use my mobile hotspot to only connect my Mac, I can just install the Network Monitor app on macOS.

These were all quick ways to track your remaining data on Idea. Personally, I just install a network monitoring app and I’m done, but having an official app is essential. Anyway, let me know if you have any doubts about these methods in the comments below or contact me on Twitter.
