How to Check Airpods Pro Battery Level on Any Devices?.
The new AirPods Pro are packed with impressive features like active noise canceling, transparency mode, force sensor buttons, wireless charging, and 24 hours of battery life excluding charging. Instead of waiting for the case light to turn green, there are more efficient ways to check the battery level of your AirPods Pro. Let’s check them out.

1. When charging with a Lightning cable
To check if the Airpods are charging when they are connected to the lightning cable, you had to open the case to see the red LED. Even though the LED is on the outside of the Wireless case, you still have to open the case to see if the AirPods are charging when they are charged via the Lightning cable.
2. When charging wirelessly
It would be pointless to take your AirPods from the wireless charging pad and open the case to check if the AirPods are charging or not. That’s why when you place your AirPods on the wireless charging mat, you can gently touch the AirPods case and it will light up with an LED indicator to indicate the charging status of the case.
3. Ask Siri
If you’re too lazy to connect to any of your devices, you can always ask Siri (politely) for the battery level. Just ask, “Hey Siri, what is the battery level of my AirPods,†and he should respond with the current battery level. It works on both iOS and macOS, but my experience with macOS hasn’t been the best.
On macOS Mojave, Siri struggled to get the correct battery percentage on one of my AirPods, but Siri on iOS 13 gave an accurate answer every time.
4. On the iPhone
You can always stay up to date on the battery status of AirPods using the battery widget. Just activate the Batteries widget and swipe left on the lock screen to check the battery status.
The only caveat when using this method is that it will only tell you the case’s battery level if there are AirPods in the case.
5. On the Mac
The easiest way to check the battery level of your AirPods on Mac is to go to Bluetooth settings. Just click the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar and hover over your AirPods and it should show you the battery percentage. As with iOS, it only shows the case’s battery level if there are AirPods in the case.

On the other hand, you can use AirBuddy to get iOS-style notifications on your computer.
6. On the Apple Watch
The Apple Watch pairs really well with every device in the ecosystem, and you can check the AirPods battery on them as well. Works the same as iPhone. Open Control Center on your watch, tap the battery percentage icon, and view the battery level of all connected devices.
7. On a smartphone running Android
AirPods are clearly an Apple device, designed to work in the Apple ecosystem, but also work great with Android smartphones. There are many apps that display this kind of pop-up when you bring your AirPods up to your phone and open the case.
To check the battery level of AirPods Pro on Android, install AirBattery and give it all necessary permissions. Just open the case next to your phone and it should show you the current battery percentage. AirBattery is free on the Play Store and contains ads.

8. Windows and Linux
Unfortunately, there are currently no applications for Windows and Linux. While Windows 10 does detect the battery level near connected devices, it simply doesn’t recognize the battery level of the AirPods. However, if there are any new methods or applications in the future, I will mention them here.
Those were all ways to check the battery and charging status of the AirPods Pro. While the first two methods don’t determine the exact battery level, they are still good if you need to take a quick look. With the exception of Siri on macOS, all methods work pretty much the same regardless of platform. Am I missing anything? Let me know in the comments below.
