How to Change Fonts in WhatsApp Chats

How to Change Fonts in WhatsApp Chats.

Chats make the most of WhatsApp, and there are several ways to change it. One of them is the ability to change the style and format of the text. Not only can you bold, italicized text in your chats, but you can even change the font style on the photos you send. So, the next time you think about sharing an image or want to highlight a specific word, follow these steps to stand out from regular WhatsApp users. Let’s see how.

Italicize

1. Edit text in your chats

Just open a private or group chat and enter your message. So, since we’re on the same page, let’s use “Hello, how are you?” as a general message template. To italicize, all you have to do is use an underline on both sides of the text.

For example, enter _Hi, How are you? _ And click “Submit”.

Bold

To convert regular text to bold, simply place an asterisk on either side of the text.

For example, enter * Hello, how are you? * And click “Send”.

Another way is to cross out the text. To do this, you need to place a tilde ~ on both sides of the text.

For example, enter ~ Hello, how are you? ~ And click “Submit”.

Monospace

If you are a programmer, you must already be familiar with monospaced space. You can also use this font style on WhatsApp. To apply this style, use three “” backticks on each side of the text.

For example, enter “Hello, how are you?” And click “Send”.

You can also select the text you want to change and choose one of the options as indicated above in the advanced menu. I don’t use it, but for many this method may be easier.

2. Edit text in photos

WhatsApp statuses and images are a good way to tell your friends what you are up to. You can add text to the image as well as change the color, but there is no clear option to change the font, but you can still do it. Let’s see how.

You can either click on the new image or open it from your gallery and select the “T” in the upper right corner. Let’s use the same text as in the previous example: “Hello, how are you?”

Then hold your finger down and slide your finger from the color selection area on the left side of the screen. This will give you a preview of the different fonts you can choose from. Once you have the style you want, remove your finger.

Please note that there are not many options for the text, but, nevertheless, it may be enough. If you’re still missing the font styles, keep reading.

3. Copy text from a generative web site

There are several websites where you can enter plain text and choose your preferred font style. I know this is a long process compared to the other options we’ve talked about, but still, if you’re looking for a specific style, or if you know the name of the font style you want, this is the only way forward.

How to Change Fonts in WhatsApp Chats

You can search for font changer websites online, or use lingojam or igfonts to experiment. This is a great way if you are using WhatsApp Web. Though you need to type and then copy / paste it into the chat.

4. Third-party applications

There are several applications that allow you to change the font and add different styles. This way, you are not limited to your choices on WhatsApp. Here are some you can try

  1. Copy Anywhere, Stylish text is an app that has tons of styles to choose from. The best part is that you can write a text in the app and share it on WhatsApp immediately.
  2. Fonts For WhatsApp also has a variety of fonts. What sets it apart from other apps is its long list of other signs and symbols. Remember those long, plain text Orkut messages? That’s right. ツ
  3. BlueWords is another well-known app among WhatsApp users. It has over 30 font styles and you can share it in any app. You need to give accessibility permission though. To use this, enter your message and select the text you want to change. You will receive a popup that you will need to click on to change the text to blue. It’s very simple and easy. You can also share text from within the app itself by typing your message and tapping the send option.

Packaging

These are ways to change a simple text message to something else. I personally don’t use an additional application to change fonts, but if you really like it, these applications work great. So these were the ways to change fonts in WhatsApp. Do you have another way? Tell me in the comment section below!
