How to Access Android Phone From Another Android Phone.
While there is no shortage of Android to Android screen sharing apps, if you want to take full control of someone’s smartphone, the options are pretty limited. Login to Anydesk; a simple Android app that not only allows you to remotely control another Android device from your smartphone, but also allows you to enter text on a remote Android device. This way, you can change settings, install the app and do whatever you want on the remote Android device.
Why AnyDesk?
Although, you can also choose TeamViewer to access your Android phone from another Android. However, there are several problems with TeamViewer.
- TeamViewer does not provide touch access on some newer Android devices such as the Pixel 3 and Redmi 8A Dual.
- TeamViewer requires the download of various applications and modules that make it difficult
- The automatic access feature in TeamViewer is chargeable.
With that said, let’s get down to the process.
Step 1: remote device
First of all, you will need to install AnyDesk on both devices. The device we want to control is a remote device, and the device controlling it is called host / your device. The black screenshots are for the remote device, and the white screenshots are for the host / your device.
We assume that the remote device is with your friends / family. So, first ask your friends or family to install AnyDesk Remote Control app on their Android.
Once the app is installed, open it and it will have a popup asking you to install the “AnyDesk Control plugin”. We need this plugin to remotely access an Android device. Hence click “OK”. Then click “Install” to install the plugin.
After installing the plugin, return to the AnyDesk app. Again, you will have a popup asking for permissions to access the AnyDesk plugin. Access permissions are required to control the action on the screen. Click “OK” and this will open the accessibility settings page on your Android device, here click “AnyDesk Control Service AD1”.
Then click on the radio button next to “Use a service” to grant access permission. You will see a popup with a summary of the permissions granted to the application. Click “Allow” to continue.
After granting access rights, return to AnyDesk app. You will have a six-digit address that you must share with another person in order to connect to your device. To do this, click on the three dots or meatball icon next to the 6-digit address and click on “Copy Address”.
Then you can simply paste and share the 6 digit address through any messaging app.

Step 2: your device
Now, on your own Android device, install the AnyDesk app.
When you open the app, just like on a remote device, you will be prompted to install the AnyDesk control plugin. But since we don’t want to manage our own device, we don’t need this plugin. Hence, click Cancel. Then enter the six-digit address from your friend’s device into the text box below the remote address label and click the Arrow icon to connect.
Then, on another Android device, you will receive multiple connection permission notifications. First, click “Start Now”. In the next pop-up window, click on both checkboxes and click “ACCEPT”. Finally, click “ACCEPT†to start the remote exchange.
Remote device:
Now you can see the screen of your parents or friends on your device. AnyDesk provides a launcher on the right side. In case you don’t know, the pie launcher is what expands the possibilities when you press and hold it. The launcher lets you switch input from touch to mouse, keyboard, and more. You can also disconnect the connection from the same pie launcher.
Additional features
Every time a connection is initiated, AnyDesk requires you to save the app. If you don’t, the connection won’t be established. However, if you want to get around this limitation, AnyDesk also provides “Automatic Access”. Just below “Your address” there is a small link “Set a password for automatic access”. Click on it and set a password.
From now on, an Android device with a password can connect and control its device without your attention. It can also be risky and therefore I recommend that you only share your password with known people. Or just turn off this option when the job is done.
Closing words
Apps like AnyDesk and TeamViewer QuickSupport have also led to a slew of mobile scams. Therefore, I suggest that you remove the app from your friends or parents’ device as soon as the work is done. If you have further problems or questions, let me know in the comments below.
