You are getting Netflix Error 113 because there is a problem with your account login information. Some of the factors responsible for this error include cache data corruption, poor internet connection, outdated Netflix app, temporary system crashes, and information conflicts on your streaming device. This guide describes all possible solutions to the problem.
Why Does Netflix Error 113 Occur on an Apple TV?
The idea for this article came from setting up an Apple TV 4K. We kept getting error code “113” every time we tried to log into the Netflix app. Finally, after hours of troubleshooting, we discovered that there seems to be an informational conflict between the Netflix app and tvOS.
It looks like the Apple TV will automatically associate the email address associated with your Apple ID with Netflix and other apps. So, when you enter your Netflix account credentials in the app, the Apple TV sends a different address to the Netflix servers. This causes an information conflict, hence the Netflix error “113”.
First: Narrow Down the Problem to the Apple TV
First, make sure you enter the correct credentials. Then try signing in to Netflix on a different device using the same credentials. This can be your smartphone, smart TV, PC, web browser, streaming, or any Netflix-enabled device.
If you can’t sign in to Netflix on any device, reset your Netflix account password and sign in with your new credentials.
How to reset your Netflix account
To reset, visit the Netflix account recovery page and follow the instructions. You will need to provide the email address or phone number associated with your account in order to reset your password. You can recover your account using your billing information if you can’t remember your account email address or phone number.

1. Remove Previously-Used Emails
We found that the Netflix error can be fixed by deleting the default email address in Apple TV settings. You should do the same and check if that fixes the error.
Launch the Settings app, select General, and select Previously Used Emails under Keyboard & Dictation.
Click “Change” in the upper right corner.
Tap the trash can icon next to your email address.
Select “Delete” at the confirmation prompt.
Open the Netflix app and try signing in again.

2. Check Your Internet Connection
You may also encounter Netflix Error 113 if you have a slow Wi-Fi connection or no internet access. Check your Wi-Fi router to make sure it is turned on and transmitting data correctly. Likewise, check your router admin panel and make sure your Apple TV is not blacklisted.
Also, keep the distance between your Wi-Fi router and Apple TV as close as possible. Remove any devices that may be interfering with the signal, adjust the router antenna, and move the Apple TV closer to the router (or vice versa).
An Ethernet connection will provide the best network experience, so plug an Ethernet cable into your Apple TV (if you have one) and try signing in to Netflix again. If the problem persists, restart your Apple TV and try again.
3. Restart Your Apple TV
This will refresh the streaming window, clear corrupted cache files, and fix other issues preventing the Netflix app from signing you to your account.
Open the Settings app, select System and select Restart.
A faster (and better) alternative is to unplug your Apple TV from its power source, wait a minute or two, and plug it back in. Launch the Netflix app and try signing in again.
4. Delete and Reinstall Netflix
If you still get error code 113 when signing in to Netflix, try uninstalling the app from your device and installing it from scratch.
Go to the Apple TV home screen, navigate to the Netflix app icon, press and hold the Clickpad or Touch Surface on the Apple TV Remote until all app icons start to wiggle. Press the Play / Pause button on the remote control. Select Remove.
Select Delete again at the confirmation prompt.
Or go to Settings> General> Manage Storage, click the trash can icon next to Netflix and select Uninstall.
Reinstall Netflix in the App Store and try signing in again.

5. Update Netflix
You may encounter multiple errors when signing in to Netflix or streaming movies if the Netflix app has bugs or is out of date. You can manually update Netflix from the App Store, or set your Apple TV to update apps automatically.
Launch the App Store, go to the Purchased tab, select All Apps from the sidebar, select Netflix, and click Update.
You won’t find this option on the page if you have the latest version of the Netflix app installed. In this case, we recommend setting up your Apple TV to update Netflix (and other apps) as soon as a new version is available in the App Store.
Go to Settings, select Apps and turn on Automatically update apps.
6. Update Your Apple TV
TvOS updates often come with improved features and bug fixes. Updating the Apple TV operating system can fix issues preventing Netflix from signing into your account.
Go to Settings> System> Software Update, select Update Software, and select Download and Install.
Restart Netflix when Apple TV turns on again and sign in with your account information. If you still see error code 113, reset your Apple TV to factory defaults.
7. Reset Your Apple TV
This operation will delete all settings, data, and third-party apps that were not preinstalled on your Apple TV.
Go to Settings> System> Reset and select Reset.
If you have access to an Ethernet connection, plug the cable into the Ethernet port on your Apple TV and select Reset & Refresh. This will download and install the latest tvOS at the same time after resetting your Apple TV.
Netflix and Chill
We are confident that at least one of these recommendations will work. While we had a successful login to Netflix using the first fix, i.e. deleting previously used email addresses, other methods are also valid troubleshooting solutions.
