Hide/Unhide Extension Icons From Chrome Toolbar.
When you install a new Chrome extension, its icon automatically appears in the toolbar. This feature is useful if you want to quickly access an extension with one click. But there are many extensions (like Adblock, LastPass, etc.) where you don’t need to use them. They just run in the background.
So it makes sense to remove the icons for these extensions from the toolbar. Right?
Hiding a Chrome extension from the toolbar not only doesn’t clutter up your omnibox, it also prevents other people from seeing which Chrome extension you are using. And guess what, it’s pretty darn easy to do. All it takes is two simple clicks.

I discovered this feature by accident when one day all my extensions disappeared from the toolbar. But when I clicked on the three vertical lines to open Chrome’s preferences, I was able to see them all. So, if the same thing happened to you, here’s how to fix it.

Hide / show Chrome extension icons
Just click the icon and drag it anywhere in the toolbar.
To hide extension icons; move the cursor slowly to the right edge of the omnibox until you notice that its shape has changed to a split symbol, then drag the cursor in the correct direction. This will hide the icons further to the right. You can access them later by clicking on the 3 vertical dots in the upper right corner. Rearrange Chrome extension icons

Right-click the icon you want to hide and select Hide from the Chrome menu . Just. Hide Chrome extension icons

To return the icon to the Chrome toolbar, open the menu by clicking the three horizontal lines in the browser. Then right-click the icon for the extension you want to display and select “Save on Toolbar”. Hide Chrome Extension Icons
Bonus advice
I highly recommend that you use keyboard shortcuts for quick access to some Chrome extensions. For example, to save an article with a pocket, I press ALT + P, and to cut an article in Evernote, I press ALT + e. No need to click on the extension icon. Saves time.
