Here are some tips on how to fix your Fire TV Stick 4k if mirroring is not Support.
Update: New update for Fires tv stick 4k (version 6.2.6.3) includes support for display mirroring via Miracast.
Amazon recently released the 4K Fire TV Stick with improved remote control and 4K / HDR streaming support. However, one big feature is missing – screen mirroring. Unlike the previous generation Firestick, the new Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K (along with the Amazon Fire TV and Fire TV Cube) does not support native screen mirroring.
This disappointed a lot of us because I mostly use the Fire TV Stick 4K mainly to mirror my laptop to my old LCD TV. Luckily, you can fix this problem with a third-party app called AirScreen. It works seamlessly with a variety of protocols including Chromecast, Miracast, DLNA, and even Airplay. So, today I will show you how to stream your laptop and smartphones to your TV using the Fire TV Stick. Let’s start.

Reverse Android to Fire Stick
Before we get started with the new Fire Stick 4k, let’s quickly update the steps for the previous generation Firestick.
Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Then you need to enable the mirroring option on the FireStick. T To do this, press and hold the Home button on the Firestick remote control and select the mirroring option.
Now on your Android smartphone, find the Cast option. You can usually find it under Settings> Connected Devices> Connection Settings> Broadcast. Look for Firestick and connect. To stop display mirroring, press any button on the remote control.
Download AirScreen to Fire TV Stick 4K
AirScreen is a screen mirroring app that allows you to mirror to your 4k Fire TV Stick. I used to be a little skeptical, but after a few days of testing I can vouch for its authenticity.
Downloading AirScreen to the Fire TV Stick 4k is a bit tricky, mostly due to Amazon restrictions and the lack of a Play Store. It has Amazon apps but lacks a search button, further complicating matters.
So, to install AriScreen on the Fire TV Stick, we need to first install the Easy Fire Tools app on Android. The app helps you transfer the AirScreen app from your phone to your Fire TV Stick.
Then download the AirScreen app to your phone. We will later send this app from our phone to the Fire TV Stick 4K using the Easy Fire Tools app.
Now go to Fire TV Stick 4k and enable ADB debugging by following these steps. Go to Settings> My Fire TV> Developer Options> ADB Debugging Enabled. While you’re at it, also INCLUDE apps from unknown sources.
Make sure your phone and Fire TV Stick 4K are on the same Wi-Fi network. Open Easy Fire Tools on your Android and tap the Fire Stick icon in the upper right corner. It will scan the Wi-Fi network and find the Fire TV Stick 4K, tap the Fire TV Stick to connect your app to the device. Click on the link icon and wait until it turns green. Once the connection is established, you can simply tap on the app icon to download it to your Fire TV Stick 4K. Tap AirScreen to download it to your device.
With the AirScreen app installed on your Fire TV Stick 4k, open it and follow the onscreen instructions to install the app.
Note. Here are some prerequisites for each method. Keep your devices on the same network and keep the AirScreen app running on the Fire TV Stick 4K.
Reverse Android to Fire TV Stick 4k
Mirroring from Android is the same as the previous Fire TV Stick, but this time we’ll use the AirScreen app. Make sure all devices are on the same Wi-Fi network, otherwise it may not work. Now let’s set up AirScreen on the TV.
On the Fire TV Stick, go to Installed Apps and launch AirScreen> Click Start. It will start searching for incoming mirror requests and display the name of the active service “AS-xxx” that will be used to connect other devices. Make sure you remember it.
Now go to your Android device and turn on Cast. Go to “Settings”> find “cast” and click on it to open it. A new screen will appear with many broadcast options, click on the AirScreen tile. It will look like “AS-xxx”. Click on it and your screencast will begin on your TV.
While the mirroring is smooth, there is a slight lag behind live streaming, which is not noticeable when watching, but pretty obvious when watching HD video.
Mirror iPhone to Fire TV Stick 4k
Surprisingly, there aren’t many third-party apps on the App Store that offer Airplay integration. Fortunately, as with Android, AirScreen also works on iPhones and iPads.
Swipe up on iPhone / iPad to open the quick settings tab and tap Screen Mirroring (Airplay). It shows you a list of active devices, click the Airscreen server tile and alt, you can now successfully cast your iOS screen to the Fire TV Stick 4K. This comes in handy if you need to share vacation photos with your family or friends, watch movies on your phone, and more.
Mirror Mac to Fire TV Stick 4k
Just like iPhones and iPads, macOS computers can be mirrored using Airplay. You can use AirScreen to project movies, slideshows, presentations, or web pages. It’s as easy as the rest of the steps. Start the service in the AirScreen app on the Fire TV Stick 4K. There are times when you cannot find the Airplay button in the menu bar. You can manually enable the mirroring option in the settings.
Go to System Preferences> Display> Check the “Show mirroring options in menu bar if available” checkbox.
You should now see the Airplay icon in the upper right corner of your screen. Click on it to open new Airplay options. Select the Mirror Apple TV option to mirror the screen to the Fire TV Stick.
Airplay runs smoothly and you can control what to display on the remote display. You can use it as a smart display, mirror the built-in display, etc.
This method only works with Miracast-enabled devices, which are most Windows laptops. However, if your device is not compatible, you will not be able to mirror your computer using this method. However, the following method will still work for you.
To check if your computer has Miracast enabled, check the dxdiag window. Open the Run dialog by pressing WIN + R on your keyboard> type “dxdiag” and press Enter> click “Save All Information”> save the text file to your desktop> open the text file and search for “Miracast”, use the image below for reference. If it says it is available, you can follow these steps.
To connect your computer to AirScreen, click the notification button in the lower right corner> Connect> Find other types of devices. You will see a list of devices in the list, select AirScreen Tile and add it to your computer.
After that press WIN + P on your keyboard and select “Connect to Wireless Display”. You will see the same device here. Click on it to display the picture from your computer on the TV.
Or use Google Cast
If your Windows PC doesn’t have Miracast, you can still mirror Windows PC to Fire TV Stick 4k using Google Cast. If you don’t already know, the Google Chrome browser has a built-in broadcast function, and you can stream content to any compatible device on the same network.
To stream from a laptop using Google Chrome, open the Chrome browser and tap the hamburger icon (three vertical dots) in the upper right corner. Select “Broadcast” and choose your source. You can stream a tab, the entire window of your computer, or just a file or video. When you press the Start button, your window is broadcast to the TV.
Want to copy any devices to Fire TV Stick?
Here are a few methods you can use to mirror your device’s screen to your TV using the Fire Stick. This method works not only with mobile phones, but also with computers. Since AirScreen supports all wireless protocols, app mirroring is much easier. However, I was a little annoyed with the ads and wouldn’t mind paying for additional features. All methods work and I’ve tested each one, but you may experience a slight delay when mirroring. What do you think and questions about this? Let us know in the comments below.
