Everything You Need to Know about Profiles on Amazon Prime Video.
Prime Video, like every other streaming service on the market, has decided to finally catch up and add profiles. Yes, you can now set different profiles on your Amazon Prime Video account and unlock several additional features. In this article, I’ll walk you through all about Prime Video profiles. Let’s start.
what’s new?
Amazon Prime Video now lets you create and manage multiple profiles in your account with personalized content for each profile. Profiles will contain individual recommendations, browsing history, and seasonal progress based on the activity of that particular profile. Prime Video supports 6 different profiles, which means you can create 5 other profiles and any of them can be set up as a child.
How to Create Profiles on Amazon Prime Video
It’s easy to create a profile. If you’re using an Android, iOS, or even Fire device, just open the Prime Video app and tap the My Content icon in the bottom right corner. Tap your profile and select “create profile”.
Enter a name for the profile and turn on Child Profile if you are making one for children.
On the Prime Video, Android TV, Apple TV and Fire TV website, you can click Profile Add New and continue the process.
Benefits of Amazon Prime Video profiles
Having multiple profiles is easy. Everyone using the account can have their own movie recommendations, follow-up list, season change, etc. In short, you get the ability to use multiple accounts with one account.
However, there are also disadvantages in the implementation of simple video profiles. Although you have multiple profiles, you have one password for everyone. So you have to share your Amazon password.
